How to choose the cheapest Terminal 2 Manchester Airport Parking?
Used to just rocking up to official Manchester Airport parking on the day and paying as you enter? Perfectly understandable as you just want to relax and enjoy your holiday; however, by using Airport Parking Shop and a tiny bit of planning, you can save money and perhaps find an option better suited to you.
A comparison: Turning up at the official Terminal 2 Multi-Storey costs £61.40 a day (for every day you park). Our lowest price last week was £35.67 for a 7-day stay.
Interested in saving? No problem. Head over to the main Manchester Airport page to learn all you need to know about finding cheaper and more suitable parking.
Taster of what you can learn:
- Official vs third-party – what is the difference, and which one is cheaper?
- View all the main car parks in a full comparison table: transfer time, shuttle frequency, keep/leave keys, 24/7 hours, height limits, Park Mark/security notes.
- What are the walkable options?
- Short Stay vs Park & Ride vs Meet & Greet vs Valet — what each actually means for your wallet and airport arrival time.
- When to book in advance to save the most.
- Learn how to spot the key car park features that could make a bargain not necessarily so.
- How to avoid comparison anxiety (and a headache from continual swapping between multiple tabs).
Alternatively, want to skip to a summary of the answers? Here we go:
- Park & Ride is usually the cheapest (you park further away and take a bus), while Short Stay, right by the terminal, is the most expensive.
- Book two weeks in advance for the biggest savings.
- Comparing like-for-like (e.g., Meet & Greet vs Meet & Greet), third-party providers are usually cheaper than official ones.
- To check value, look at transfer time & frequency, distance from terminal, booking flexibility, opening hours, security and reviews, and rules on keys.
{Why aren't all the answers on this page? Excellent question. We could fill this section for parking options at Terminal 1 with loads of content about the intricacies of parking here versus Terminals 2 and 3, but the truth is that would be a waste of digital paper.
Most of the parking options at Manchester Airport serve all the terminals. For example, the Park & Ride options — whether it is the official Manchester Airport JetParks or the third-party providers like APH, Hunters, CarePark, Maple — serve all terminals with free shuttles. The same Meet & Greet operators pretty much pick up from every terminal too.
The main differences per terminal are the walkable choices, with a separate Multi-Storey for each one — plus Mid Stay, which is only for T1/3. That's it: you just need to remember to book Terminal 1 Multi-Storey if you want to closest option}.
Good luck and happy saving!

The car park was very easy to find, and the staff were very helpful on arrival. The car was left in what appeared to be a very secure area, and the transfer to the airport was quick and efficient. However, the return transfer was very disappointing. I had to phone twice to find out whether the bus was coming, and we were left waiting for 40 minutes at the airport late at night. This was unacceptable, particularly as we still had a two-hour journey home ahead of us. Overall, the parking facilities and outward transfer were good, but the poor communication and excessive wait for the return transfer let the service down considerably.

Upon our arrival, we were checked in the friendly staff, unpacked our luggage at the gate, and was shown where to go and park my car. The facility is self parking and you keep your keys. From there we were ushered into a minibus and taken to the airport terminal drop off point in the multistory car park. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Upon our arrival back Iin the cou try, we rang the company, and they were there to collect us within 5 minutes. Highly recommend and would use again.

It was very simple to get to and drop the car off. We only had to wait 10 mins at the airport for someone to pick us up and the car was ready for us when we got back.

Been using this facility for many years, from when it was Boundary farm, where we actually went when we arrived, only to find it was now a run down place, fortunately common sense prevailed and we went to the next entrance, and the barrier opened, and we were on our way, being elderly and not really familiar with online booking it took me a while to actually book, luckily my daughter is familiar with online bookings, hope to be back in March when we go on our cruise.
