About Teesside Airport
Located just ten miles to the west of Middlesbrough, the Durham Tees Valley Airport, previously known as Teesside Airport, has been in operation since serving as a RAF airfield during the WW2. After becoming a civil airport in the 1960s, it now handles more than 200,000 passengers a year (2011).
KLM, Eastern Airways and Transun offer flights to Scotland, Norway, Netherlands, Finland and other destinations. A selection of holiday charter flights also operates from the airport.
