Vacationcare Premium Self-Park

VacationCare Premium Self-Park is a covered park-and-ride option where you park the car yourself, keep your keys and leave it in the same space throughout your trip. Staff direct you to a space in the Wythenshawe multi-storey before a 24-hour shuttle takes you to the airport in around 5–10 minutes.

Its main advantage over VacationCare’s standard products is that there is no key handover and the car will not be moved. However, a separate £10 charge per vehicle is payable on arrival to cover the airport’s shuttle drop-off and collection fees.

How does Premium Self-Park compare with standard VacationCare parking?

All of the VacationCare products use an off-airport car park and shuttle transfers. With the standard Indoor and Outdoor options, you leave your keys so staff can park or relocate the vehicle. Premium Self-Park lets you choose the space, keep your keys and know that the car will not be moved.

Choose Premium Self-Park when keeping control of the vehicle matters most. Standard Indoor may offer similar protection from the weather for less, while Outdoor will usually suit customers looking for VacationCare’s simplest low-cost option.

How does Premium Self-Park compare with JetParks?

Both are self-parking options where you keep your keys and return to the same space. VacationCare Premium Self-Park provides covered parking, while Manchester Airport’s JetParks car parks are open-air and operate free shuttle buses approximately every 15 minutes.

Choose VacationCare for covered parking. Choose JetParks if you prefer an official airport-operated car park, need space for a vehicle over 6ft 6in or want the terminal transfer included without VacationCare’s separate £10 charge.

How does Premium Self-Park compare with Drop & Go?

With Premium Self-Park, you find a space, keep your keys and take a shuttle from the off-airport car park. With Manchester Airport Drop & Go, you leave the vehicle and keys at a kiosk before an insured driver parks it for you.

Choose Premium Self-Park if you do not want anybody driving the car. Choose Drop & Go if avoiding the search for a space and parking closer to the terminals are more important.

Important things to know

A £10 airport access charge is payable per vehicle at reception by cash or card and is not included in the booking price. The maximum vehicle height is 6ft 6in. Report to reception on arrival, but do not hand over your keys. Valeting cannot be added to this product because the operator does not retain access to the vehicle.

Directions

From M56 heading towards Manchester leave at Junction 3a (signed A560) signposted Altrincham, Wythenshawe (ignore Junction 3 Stockport signs). Come back on yourself round the roundabout back onto M56. Leave at Junction 4 * signed Wythenshawe Centre, Turn Left and proceed along Simons Way, passing ASDA & B&M on your left. Then turn left at the next Traffic Lights into Rowlands Way. 50 yards on the left is a BP Station, Immediately turn left after the BP Petrol station and go up the spiral ramp, which is signposted Asda, Wythenshawe town centre multi storey & Vacationcare. At the top of the Ramp, keep to the LEFT and come into the 8th Floor and STOP at the Barrier and wait. Once your vehicle has been scanned and recorded for existing damage the barrier will be opened by a staff member.

ALL OTHER ROUTES ? leave M56 at Junction 4 and follow these directions from * above.

Arrival procedure

On entering the car park, pick one of the marked spaces immediately on the right by reception and park your car. Keep your keys. Report to reception and you will not need to hand over your keys, your car will not be moved whilst you are away. Once you have checked in, the shuttle bus will be waiting to transport you to the airport. £10 per family payable to car park at drop-off to cover airport fees, if using their free shuttle service. This covers entry and exit fees set by the airport. Payment can be in cash or card payable at reception on arrival.

Return procedure

Once landed on your return, cleared customs and collected all luggage, please call the car park on 07464 448279 or 07766 537967, to confirm your actual pick-up location.

Important information

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period up until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £10 per day. This is subject to change.
