APH Manchester is an established off-airport park-and-ride service with transfers to the terminals taking around 10 minutes. Leave the vehicle in an arrival bay, unload your luggage and hand your keys to reception. APH staff park the car while you take the next shuttle to the airport.

The main advantages are regular 24-hour transfers, an experienced operator and not having to find a permanent parking space yourself. Transfers are included in the booking price, but you must be comfortable leaving your keys and allowing APH staff to move the vehicle.

Why choose APH Manchester?

  • Regular transfers: buses run approximately every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.
  • Ten-minute journey: the shuttle serves both Manchester Airport terminals.
  • Staff park the car: leave it in an arrival bay instead of searching the main car park for a space.
  • Included shuttle: there is no separate airport access charge to pay on arrival.
  • Established security: protected by CCTV, barriers, fencing and 24-hour staff.
  • Accessible service: wheelchair-friendly buses, accessible toilets and help with luggage are available.

How do the different APH products compare?

The standard and Saver products use the same car park, key-handover procedure and shuttle service. Saver can cost less but is non-refundable and cannot be amended. Only choose it when your travel arrangements are unlikely to change.

APH also offers versions with EV charging and, when available in the search results, indoor parking. These cost more but add charging or covered storage to the standard park-and-ride service.

How does APH compare with Vacationcare Multi-storey?

Both are off-airport services where you leave your keys, staff park the vehicle and a shuttle takes you to the terminal. Vacationcare Multi-storey guarantees covered parking and has a similar transfer time, but charges an additional £10 per vehicle for airport access.

Choose VacationCare when guaranteed protection from the weather matters most. Choose APH for an established purpose-built operation with the airport transfer included in the booking price. APH vehicles may be stored at either its main site or its nearby covered Dome.

How does APH compare with JetParks?

Both run 24-hour shuttle buses approximately every 15 minutes. With APH, you leave your keys and staff park the vehicle. JetParks is an official self-parking option where you find a space, keep your keys and return to the car where you left it.

Choose APH if you would rather leave the vehicle at reception and let staff handle the parking. Choose JetParks if retaining your keys and preventing the car from being moved are more important.

How does APH compare with Drop & Go?

Both require a key handover and staff park the vehicle for you. APH is an off-airport car park requiring a transfer of around 10 minutes. Manchester Airport Drop & Go is an official service located closer to the terminals, with either a walk or short shuttle journey depending on the product and terminal.

Choose APH when price and a regular park-and-ride service are the priorities. Choose Drop & Go when parking closer to the airport justifies the likely additional cost.

Important things to know

The maximum vehicle height is 2.4 metres, and vehicles must fit within a standard parking space and be driveable on a standard licence. On your return, call or text APH and wait at the designated APH stop on the terminal’s lower forecourt.

Excellent service - courteous, efficient and helpful driver, Thanks to John - we mistakenly took bus provided by another company (it was a dark, rainy night and we'd been travelling all day!) who were extremely unhelpful. With good humour and efficiency - APH sorted out our problem as quickly as possible.

I used to always use these, not anymore though, got home on Wednesday evening and on Thursday morning found a cigarette burn on drivers seat, NOT HAPPY, not worth complaining as all responsibility will be denied as usual.
