Navigating your way through an airport can be intimidating at the best of times; large crowds with multiple conversations at once and rows of flickering, fluorescent flight boards can be a bit much for some. It’s fair to say that the solo travel market is booming. According to recent figures, of 100,000 holidays booked, 38% of them were for solo travel. Surprisingly, 58% of these travellers were female.
Even when I asked the question around the office as to whether people would travel around the world solo, most of the guys said “No!!” and the ladies said they would.
