Stansted Peak Park & Ride is an independent parking service around two miles from the airport, with an on-demand shuttle taking approximately 2–3 minutes. Drive to the Peak car park at Waltham Hall Industrial Estate, leave your keys with the team and take the courtesy transfer to the terminal. The service operates between 04:00 and 23:30.

Peak is a good option for passengers who want a very short Park & Ride transfer and are happy to leave their keys. Unlike some operators that move cars between different compounds, current Peak information states that your vehicle remains on site for the duration of your stay.

How does Peak Park & Ride compare with Maple Parking?

Maple Parking Park & Ride operates 24 hours a day and has a transfer of around five minutes. Peak has a shorter quoted journey of around 2–3 minutes but operates within the more limited 04:00–23:30 window. Both require you to leave your keys.

Choose Peak when the shorter on-demand transfer works with your flight times. Choose Maple when you need 24-hour operation or its price and booking conditions are better.

Important things to know

Peak Park & Ride operates between 04:00 and 23:30, so only book if your scheduled departure and return times fall within the operating window. If your flight itself is delayed beyond 23:30, current supplier information says staff will wait for you. Call Peak around 20 minutes before arriving so the team can prepare for your transfer. You must leave your keys, and your vehicle will be photographed and its mileage recorded on arrival. On your return, call only after you have cleared customs and are ready for collection. The current collection point is on the terminal forecourt, although this can be changed by the airport. The service is not suitable for young children who require a child car seat for the shuttle, as child seats are not provided. Check the instructions on your booking confirmation before travelling.

The postcode is CM22 6PF. Please drive to the bottom of the estate; the car park is located in the unit on the left just before the bus station.

Travelling North from London: Please exit the M11 at Junction 8a and follow the below directions. Follow the road for just over 1 mile and take the Stansted Airport exit and branch left. At Bassingbourn roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Thremhall Avenue. At Coopers End Roundabout take the fourth exit this is after the Short Stay Car Parks. At the mini roundabout turn left, travel exactly 0.7 of a mile and on your right is Waltham Hall Industrial Estate, turn right and drive to the bottom of the estate, they are the unit on the left just before the bus station. Please park in the nominated parking bays provided on the right hand side clearly marked so they can keep the road clear at all times.

Travelling South from Cambridge:
Please exit the M11 at Junction 8 and follow the below directions. Take the A120 exit to Stansted Airport. At Priory Wood Roundabout take the 3rd exit, merge onto the A120 and branch left. At Bassingbourn roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Thremhall Avenue. At Coopers End Roundabout take the fourth exit this is after the Short Stay Car Parks. At the mini roundabout turn left, travel exactly 0.7 of a mile and on your right is Waltham Hall Industrial Estate, turn right and drive to the bottom of the estate, they are the unit on the left just before the bus station. Arrival procedure

Please check your email confirmation for details.

You are asked to call Peak Parking ca. 20 minutes before you arrive at the car park to inform them of your arrival time. This helps limit waiting times as individual arrival times often vary. Then park your car and take the courtesy shuttle bus to the airport. The bus transfer costs £1 per person each way and is due to be paid locally on departure/arrival.

Please note that all vehicles will be photographed upon arrival including mileage.

Return procedure

Once you have cleared customs, please call the car park to let them know you are ready for collection, then proceed to the forecourt, Zone B in front of the Terminal Building where they would have dropped you off. The bus transfer costs £1 per person each way and is due to be paid locally on departure/arrival.

Please note that meeting point is subject to change on the day by Stansted Airport; you will be informed if this is the case when you call.

Security

The car park has manned security, fencing, and a gated entry, with CCTV. All vehicles will be photographed including mileage on arrival.

Additional information

This car park operates from 04:00 - 23:30 Monday to Friday only.
Book only if your schedule departure and arrival times are within these parameters. If you plan on arriving or returning outside of these times, a £100 levy will be charged by Peak Storage on your return. If your flight is delayed, please do not worry as a member of staff will wait for you.

This service is NOT suitable for small children that require car seats to travel.
