This official airport long-term car park is situated 10 minutes away from the terminal and courtesy shuttles run every quarter of an hour, day and night. The car park, with its CCTV, security patrols and security fencing benefits from the police-approved Park Mark award, giving peace of mind to travellers. Help for disabled drivers is available at the push of a button at the bus stop and special bays are available for trailers and over-sized vehicles.

Leave the M11 at junction 8 if you are travelling southbound, and junction 8a if you are travelling northbound. At the motorway roundabout, follow the signs for Stansted airport. At the next roundabout go straight on for Round Coppice Road, following the signs for the Long Stay car park. Go straight on at the next roundabout. You will pass the Hilton on your left. Take the next left into the car park.

Arrival procedure

The car park has automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) - so make sure you give us the correct car registration number when you book.

Please take a copy of your booking confirmation to the car park with you. The entry barrier will lift automatically when it recognises your number plate, and will give you a ticket with your booking reference printed on it - keep this ticket. Then all you need to do is park your car and wait at the bus stop for the shuttle bus to the terminal.

The machine should take no more than about 15 seconds to recognise your number plate and give you a ticket. If this doesn't happen, just press the help button.

Disabled customers should go to zone Q. There are two help-points if you need assistance.

Departure procedure

Follow signs for Long Stay car park transfer buses and catch the bus back to the car park. Once there, insert your ticket into the barrier and it will raise. If you have any problems, press the help button and speak to staff.

Please don't insert a credit or debit card or you will be charged again for your parking.

Long Stay Stansted is fully secured and has CCTV, security fencing and lighting at night. It is manned 24 hours a day and there are regular site patrols. It has also been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers.

Offers free cover for damage resulting from any act or omission on the part of its servants or agents. Parking is at vehicle owners' own risk.

Disabled facilities

Parking bays for Blue Badge holders are located in zone Q. Please use the help points at the bus stops to request a pick-up when you need to transfer to the terminal. The courtesy coaches are wheelchair accessible.

Additional information

You will need to give the car park your car registration number either when you book, or some time before you go.

High vehicles, oversized vehicles and vehicles with trailers should use zone Q. Motorbikes should also use this zone.

There is no extra charge for trailers, but please report to reception when you leave so you can get through the barrier.

There is a height restriction of 3.5 metres.

"Usand plenty of other cars trying to exit, the cameras or computer would not recognise the number plates so what should be a drive up and drive of was not, and we all had to use the assist button which delayed the leaving process.not what is required after the flights home."

"The lane indications for exiting the car park are very confusing. The pre-paid lanes are on the right but the the markings on the road before the final lanes seem to wander from one side to the other. I went to the wrong side at first.

It's rather a long wait between buses.
