Stansted Official Long Stay

This official airport long-term car park is situated 10 minutes away from the terminal and courtesy shuttles run every quarter of an hour, day and night. The car park, with its CCTV, security patrols and security fencing benefits from the police-approved Park Mark award, giving peace of mind to travellers. Help for disabled drivers is available at the push of a button at the bus stop and special bays are available for trailers and over-sized vehicles.

Directions

Leave the M11 at junction 8 if you are travelling southbound, and junction 8a if you are travelling northbound. At the motorway roundabout, follow the signs for Stansted airport. At the next roundabout go straight on for Round Coppice Road, following the signs for the Long Stay car park. Go straight on at the next roundabout. You will pass the Hilton on your left. Take the next left into the car park.

Arrival procedure

The car park has automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) - so make sure you give us the correct car registration number when you book.

Please take a copy of your booking confirmation to the car park with you. The entry barrier will lift automatically when it recognises your number plate, and will give you a ticket with your booking reference printed on it - keep this ticket. Then all you need to do is park your car and wait at the bus stop for the shuttle bus to the terminal.

The machine should take no more than about 15 seconds to recognise your number plate and give you a ticket. If this doesn't happen, just press the help button.

Disabled customers should go to zone Q. There are two help-points if you need assistance.

Departure procedure

Follow signs for Long Stay car park transfer buses and catch the bus back to the car park. Once there, insert your ticket into the barrier and it will raise. If you have any problems, press the help button and speak to staff.

Please don't insert a credit or debit card or you will be charged again for your parking.

Security

Long Stay Stansted is fully secured and has CCTV, security fencing and lighting at night. It is manned 24 hours a day and there are regular site patrols. It has also been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers.

Insurance

Offers free cover for damage resulting from any act or omission on the part of its servants or agents. Parking is at vehicle owners' own risk.

Terrible service. Arrived at 5am with plenty of time for our flight however the 15 minute transfer time is a complete farce!!! We did see buses every 15 mins but they were full and did not stop. We had 4 pass by. We waited 45 mins and I even tried to call the office to get help with no answer. In desperation we ran across the parking lot to board the bus at an earlier stop. It was freezing cold and windy. We got a bus at the earlier stop and still had the 15 min ride to the terminal. We just made our flight as the whole thing took an hour. It is misleading to say 15 mins. I would never use this service again unless absolutely necessary or if I have time to waste an hour!! Their website should be changed to reflect the actual time it takes so travelers can plan accordingly or have more busses to accommodate the amount of travelers. Give it a miss.
