Official Long Stay

Book now from £ for 7 days parking.

Teesside Official Long Stay is an on-airport self-parking car park approximately two minutes’ walk from the terminal. Park in an available bay, keep your keys and walk directly to check-in. There is no shuttle, reception visit or key handover.

Despite the Long Stay name, this is considerably closer to the terminal than long-stay parking at most airports. It provides much the same straightforward experience as a short-stay car park but with rates intended for passengers leaving their vehicle while travelling.

Why choose Teesside Official Long Stay?

  • Two-minute walk: the car park is directly opposite the terminal.
  • Keep your keys: the vehicle should remain where you parked it.
  • No shuttle: walk directly between the car and check-in.
  • Automatic entry: ANPR recognises the registration entered when booking.
  • Official security: the Park Mark car park has CCTV, entry and exit barriers and security patrols.

How does Long Stay compare with Teesside Short Stay?

Both are official self-parking options close to the terminal, with no shuttle or key handover. The practical difference is the intended length of stay and tariff: Short Stay is designed principally for dropping off, collecting passengers and brief visits, while Long Stay can be pre-booked for the duration of a trip.

Choose Long Stay when leaving the car while flying. Short Stay is only likely to make sense when you are remaining at the airport for a short period.

How does Long Stay compare with Park & Ride?

Teesside does not currently have a regular third-party Park & Ride product. At larger airports, Park & Ride may reduce the price by placing the car farther away, but it also introduces a shuttle journey and often requires you to leave your keys.

Official Long Stay already provides the main advantage normally associated with premium parking: you can walk to the terminal in around two minutes while keeping your keys.

How does Long Stay compare with Meet & Greet?

Meet & Greet is not generally sold as a parking product at Teesside. It would also offer relatively little additional convenience because Long Stay is directly opposite the airport and does not require a bus.

The only significant difference would be having somebody else park the vehicle. With Long Stay, you retain control of the car and avoid allowing an operator to drive it.

Important things to know

Enter the correct registration when booking so the ANPR barriers can recognise the car. If the barrier does not open, use the assistance button and do not insert a payment card, as this could create a second charge. Blue Badge spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and the badge must remain displayed. Vehicles must fit within a standard 2.4 x 4.8-metre bay; trailers and commercial vehicles are not accepted. Additional parking is charged if you return late, while unused time is not refunded if you return early.
