Luton Purple Parking Meet and Greet

Overview

Purple Parking Meet and Greet lets you drive straight to Luton Airport, hand over your car and keys and walk around five minutes to the terminal. Call Purple Parking around 20 minutes before you arrive, drive to Level 3 of Terminal Car Park 1 and meet your uniformed driver in the designated Meet & Greet bays. They will photograph the vehicle, take your keys and move the car to a secure parking compound while you head to check-in.

On your return, collect your luggage and call Purple Parking. Walk back to Terminal Car Park 1 and your car will be brought back to the agreed collection point. There is no shuttle journey in either direction, making this one of the most convenient ways to park at Luton.

How does Purple Parking Meet and Greet work?

Call Purple Parking approximately 20 minutes before reaching Luton Airport. Follow signs for Terminal Car Park 1, take a ticket at the barrier and drive up to Level 3. The Meet & Greet bays are clearly marked and your driver will be wearing a Purple Parking hi-vis jacket and carrying identification.

The driver takes your parking ticket and keys, photographs the vehicle and drives it to the secure parking compound. From Level 3 it is roughly a five-minute walk to the terminal.

On your return, call Purple Parking after collecting your luggage and walk back to the Meet & Greet area. Your car will be brought back to you. Once it has been returned, you have 15 minutes to leave Terminal Car Park 1 before additional airport charges apply.

Holiday Extras Perfect Meet and Greet also uses a terminal handover and avoids the shuttle completely. Perfect uses Maple Parking drivers, while Purple Parking operates under the Purple Parking service.

How does Purple Parking compare with Airparks Meet and Greet?

Airparks Luton Meet and Greet also uses Level 3 of Terminal Car Park 1 and gives you the same basic benefit: drive to the airport, hand over the keys and walk to departures.

Airparks stores vehicles at its Grove Road operation, while Purple Parking uses its own secure storage arrangement. For most customers, the meaningful comparison will still be price, booking flexibility and any vehicle restrictions.

How does Meet and Greet compare with Park & Ride?

Meet & Greet is the convenience option. If you are more interested in getting the lowest price, compare Purple Parking with Luton Premium Self Park, Vauxhall Way Self Park and the Airparks Park & Ride options.

Park & Ride will usually be cheaper, but it means driving to an off-airport car park and taking a shuttle. Purple Parking Meet and Greet costs more because it removes that part of the journey completely.

Important things to know

Customer handover: Level 3, Terminal Car Park 1, London Luton Airport, Luton, LU2 9LY. Use the final directions and sat-nav details supplied with your booking confirmation.

You need to call around 20 minutes before arrival so a driver is ready for you. The maximum vehicle height is 2.1 metres. Once your car has been returned on the way home, leave Terminal Car Park 1 within 15 minutes to avoid additional exit charges.

Directions

Exit the M1 at junction 10 and at the large motorway roundabout, follow signs for Luton Airport.
Once you have passed through the traffic lights get into the left-hand lane for Luton Airport. At the next roundabout take the third exit keeping on Airport Way. Keep following the signs for Terminal Car Park 1 - you'll see Terminal Car Park 2 first, but carry on until you get to Car Park 1.
At Terminal Car Park 1, take a ticket from the barrier and drive up to level 3, where you will be met by a member of staff.

Arrival procedure

Around 20 minutes before you arrive call Purple Parking on 01582 825700. Once you're on level 3 of the car park you'll find allocated parking bays marked "Meet and Greet". Your driver will be wearing a Purple Parking hi-vis jacket and carrying ID. They'll take your ticket and keys and photograph your car before moving it to their secured car park.
From the car park it's a 5-minute walk to the terminal.

Return procedure

Once you have collected all your luggage, give Purple Parking a call on 01582 825700. Make sure you let them know of any delays.
Walk to the airport exit and follow signs for Terminal Car Park 1. Your car will be delivered to the pick-up point/meet and greet area where you dropped it off. The driver will give you a ticket to exit the car park. Make sure you're at the car park no longer than 10 minutes after your call, otherwise you may need to pay to exit the car park.
