When you arrive, drive through the green gates to the reception drop-off area. The team gives you a ticket with the return instructions, then you park the car yourself, keep your keys and board the shuttle to the terminal.

On your return, call the car park using the number on your ticket or booking confirmation. The shuttle collects you from the airport, brings you back to the car park and you simply get into your car and drive home.

Luton Premium Self Park – Larger Vehicles

The Larger Vehicles option uses the same car park, shuttle and self-parking process but is intended for vehicles that are unsuitable for the standard product. If you have a van, commercial vehicle, long-wheelbase vehicle or something else that will not comfortably fit the normal vehicle limits, choose the larger-vehicle product rather than booking standard parking and hoping nobody notices when you arrive.

Vehicle eligibility can depend on the exact size and type of vehicle, so check the restrictions shown with your quote before booking. The important point is that this is not a different car park — it is a different version of the same Premium Self Park service.

These are therefore particularly useful to compare against each other. If the prices are close, check the transfer arrangements and booking conditions. If one is substantially cheaper, there may be little practical reason to pay a large premium to save another minute or two.

How does Premium Self Park compare with Airparks and APH Self Park?

Airparks Self Park and APH Luton Self Park also let you park yourself and keep your keys, but their Grove Road site is considerably further from the terminal, with transfers of around 12–14 minutes.

Premium Self Park is therefore the convenience choice. Airparks or APH may be cheaper; Premium Self Park saves you roughly ten minutes each way on the shuttle. Compare the price difference and decide how much that extra time is worth to you.

How does Premium Self Park compare with Holiday Extras Self Park?

Holiday Extras Self Park is another keep-your-keys option with a shuttle of around 14 minutes. The parking process is similar, but Premium Self Park is much closer to the airport.

If Premium Self Park costs only a little more for your dates, the two-minute transfer is an obvious attraction. If Holiday Extras Self Park is significantly cheaper, the longer bus ride may be an easy way to save money.

Important things to know

Luton Premium Self Park is at Airport Way, Luton, LU2 9LF, opposite the Courtyard by Marriott. Standard cars must fit beneath the 2.1-metre entry barrier and inside a standard 2.4m × 4.8m parking bay. Trailers and commercial vehicles are not suitable for the standard product.

If your vehicle falls outside the standard limits, check the Luton Premium Self Park – Larger Vehicles option instead. The car park also allows a discretionary six-hour grace period for early or late returns; stays beyond that may be charged at the car park's additional daily rate.
