Liverpool Multi Storey Car Park

Liverpool Airport Multi-Storey is the official self-parking option directly opposite the terminal. Find your own bay, keep your keys and walk to check-in in around one minute. It is also known as Short Stay, although pre-booking makes it suitable for holidays as well as brief visits.

You will usually pay more than at Long Stay or Park Smart, but the almost non-existent walk is useful with children, heavy luggage or particularly determined rain.

How does the Multi-Storey compare with Long Stay?

Both are official self-parking options where you keep your keys. The Multi-Storey is around one minute from the terminal, while Long Stay is approximately five minutes away and usually cheaper.

Choose the Multi-Storey when the shortest possible walk is worth paying for. Choose Long Stay when walking another few minutes presents no great threat to the holiday.

How does the Multi-Storey compare with Meet & Greet?

Both are around a one-minute walk from the terminal. In the Multi-Storey, you find your own space and keep your keys. With Meet & Greet, you leave the vehicle in an arrival lane and airport staff park it for you.

Choose the Multi-Storey if you want the car to remain where you parked it. Choose Meet & Greet if avoiding the search for a bay is more important.

Important things to know

The current official height restriction is 2.15 metres. Liverpool Airport provides a four-hour grace period around booked arrival and departure times; beyond this, the current overstay charge is £20 for each additional 24 hours or part thereof. The car park has no electric vehicle chargers.

Directions

- Follow the M62 westward and take the first left on the roundabout at junction 6 to join the Knowsley Expressway.

- At the roundabout, take the third exit right onto Speke Road. After about three miles, turn left onto Speke Hall Avenue.

- Follow the signs/red arrows to the Multi-Storey car park and you'll find it on your left with the terminal in front of you.

Arrival procedure

Please check your booking confirmation as instructions may vary.

- The car park has automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) so once it has recognised your number plate the barrier will lift. Then just drive in and park your car.

- If the machine doesn't give you a ticket, press the intercom button and speak to a member of staff.

- Make sure you bring a copy of your booking confirmation with you to the car park.

Return procedure

Please check your booking confirmation as instructions may vary.

- Upon your exit from the car park, the barrier will lift automatically - press the intercom button if it doesn't.

- Keep your booking confirmation details handy just in case.

Security

The car park holds the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers. This means you can expect security measure such as being patrolled 24-hours a day as well as CCTV, entry and exit barriers and a fence.

Insurance

Parking is at owner's own risk, and subject to the terms and conditions of the individual car park.

Disabled facilities

Blue Badge Holders can use specially allocated spaces for disabled passengers in the Multi-Storey car park. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additional information

- The car park has a 4-hour grace period so should you be delayed a little getting back, don't worry. If you go over the 4 hours though, you'll be subject to the £20 a day charge.

- Trailers and vans are not permitted at this car park. 1.95m height restriction.

- Electric charging points are available in the Long Stay car park on a first-come, first-served basis.

- If you need any extra days' parking, the car park will charge you for the extra days at its normal rate before you leave. You can pay at the car park office.

Important: Prebooked reservations are only valid in the selected car park. Notwithstanding any prebooking made, any vehicle parking in any other Car Park will be charged at the full rate applicable (in accordance with the published rates displayed on the entrance to the Car Parks). Please follow the directional signage to ensure you use the correct Car Park.
