Travelling from the North: Take the M6 southbound to junction 21A with M62. Please note that junction 21A is a split junction, and motorists should ensure they come off at the slip road signposted Liverpool. Follow M62 westbound to junction 6, and then exit onto the A5300 (Knowsley Expressway). At the end of the Knowsley Expressway, turn right onto the A561 (Speke Boulevard) and follow signs to the Airport, which is situated off Speke Hall Avenue.

Travelling from the South / East: Travel M6 northbound to junction 20 with M56. Follow M56 to junction 12 and then exit onto A557/A562 dual carriageway via Runcorn Bridge to merge with A561. Follow signs to the Airport, situated off Speke Hall Avenue.

Travelling from the Wirral / North Wales: Passengers travelling from Wirral may find it more convenient at peak times to use the M53 and then the M56 (as instructions from the South / East) rather than a route through the City Centre of Liverpool via the Mersey Tunnels. Passengers travelling from North Wales should join the A55 to connect with the M56 eastbound, and then follow instructions as from the East.

Once you are in the vicinity of the airport, follow signs for ipark. The ipark Car Park can be accessed by turning right on the roundabout when approaching the airport terminal.

Arrival procedure

We operate using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) - Drive up to the car park barrier where a sensor will recognise your number plate and the barrier will lift. Take a ticket and pull into a space. If a ticket is not automatically produced, press the button for assistance, don't push the ticket button and take a regular ticket, as you may be charged. Keep your keys and your ticket, and walk to the terminal.

Return procedure

Return to your car and drive to the exit barrier. Put your ticket into the barrier and it will raise to let you leave.

If the barrier does not lift, press the help button for assistance.

While you're away, your car will be stored in a fenced car park, with secured entry and exit. The car park has been awarded the Park Mark safety award by the police.

Disabled facilities

The car park does not have any disabled facilities.

October 9, 2016

"Location to airport was very good. However, as the barrier did not recognise our car, we thought we were in the wrong car park (our paperwork said BCP but the sign said ipark so we were convinced we were in the wrong car park). We reversed out, and round the roundabout only to realise that it actually was the correct carpark. Still didn't recognise us, but after speaking with the "man in the machine" he issued us with a ticket. Whoever was monitoring the CCTV camera would have been having a giggle I'm sure.
Won't put us off using again, but maybe sign needs to be a bit clearer that it is a BCP car park."
