Leeds Sentinel Security

Leeds Bradford Sentinel Security Parking is a secure off-airport park and ride around half a mile from Leeds Bradford Airport, with on-demand transfers taking approximately 2–3 minutes. Leave your keys at reception, take the free shuttle to the terminal and Sentinel staff will park your car in its secure compound.

The main advantages are the very short transfer, 24-hour operation and on-demand buses that leave without waiting for a set number of passengers. However, this is not a keep-your-keys car park.

Official Long Stay also has a short, 24-hour shuttle, but you park the car yourself and keep your keys. With Sentinel, you hand the car over at reception and staff park it for you.

Mid Stay avoids the bus altogether: you park yourself, keep your keys and walk approximately 6–9 minutes to the terminal. Choose Sentinel for the shortest journey without having to find a space, Long Stay if you want to keep your keys and use a shuttle, or Mid Stay if you would rather walk.

How does Sentinel compare with Meet & Greet?

Both options require you to leave your keys and allow staff to park the vehicle. With Sentinel, you drive to the off-airport compound and take a 2–3-minute bus. With official Meet & Greet, you park near the terminal, hand over your keys and walk approximately two minutes to check-in.

Choose Meet & Greet if avoiding a shuttle is the priority. Choose Sentinel if you are happy to use a short bus transfer and want to compare the price of an off-airport alternative.

Important things to know

Sentinel advises sat-nav users to enter “Warren House Lane, Yeadon” rather than relying on the postcode. Most standard cars are accepted if they fit beneath the 2.2-metre entrance barrier and within a standard 2.4m by 4.8m bay. Large vans are subject to an additional charge, while trailers and commercial vehicles are excluded from some packages. Inspect the car before leaving because Sentinel requires any damage to be reported before departure.

Directions

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park, please use the directions provided below. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed.

Once you are on the A658, follow the signs for the airport. When you come to the roundabout by the airport, turn into Warren House Lane. The entrance to Sentinel Security Parking will be on your right after about 300 yards.

Arrival procedure

Follow the driveway round to reception, park in one of the arrivals bays and go into reception to check in. You'll need to leave your keys, as your car will be parked for you.

Departure procedure

Just catch the shuttle bus back to the car park. Your car will be waiting for you in the arrivals area.

Security

The car park has CCTV, barbed wire fencing and floodlights and is manned 24 hours a day. It has been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers.

Insurance

Cars are photographed and filmed when they enter the car park. The car park's insurance covers any damage to the vehicle resulting from its negligence.

Disabled facilities

Sentinel Security makes every effort to look after disabled passengers. If you're not very mobile, they'll stop the transfer bus next to your car so you don't have far to walk, and help you with your suitcases; there's also a step which can be used to help passengers onto and off the bus. The buses aren't wheelchair accessible, but if need be, staff will take you to the terminal in your own car.

Additional information

Customers who have a medium or long-wheelbase van will have an extra £10 charge to pay at the car park, regardless of how long they're parking for.

Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommended check-in time.

You will be required to leave your keys with the attendant.
