Leeds Bradford Airport Mid Stay Parking

Mid Stay is an official self-parking option approximately 6–9 minutes’ walk from Leeds Bradford Airport’s terminal. Park the car yourself, keep your keys and walk directly to check-in. There is no shuttle bus or key handover.

The main advantage is that Mid Stay avoids waiting for a transfer while remaining closer than a typical long-stay car park. However, passengers must be comfortable carrying their luggage between the car park and terminal.

Why choose Mid Stay?

  • 6–9-minute walk: reach the terminal without using a shuttle bus.
  • Keep your keys: the car remains where you parked it.
  • Self-parking: choose your own space and drive away as soon as you return.
  • No transfer: there is no bus timetable or collection point to consider.
  • Official airport parking: located within Leeds Bradford Airport.
  • Park Mark security: CCTV, entry and exit barriers and regular patrols.

How does Mid Stay compare with Long Stay?

Both are official self-parking options where you keep your keys. Mid Stay is approximately 6–9 minutes from the terminal on foot, while Long Stay uses a free 24-hour shuttle taking around two minutes.

Choose Mid Stay if you want to avoid waiting for a bus and are comfortable with the walk. Choose Long Stay if a short shuttle journey is preferable to carrying luggage across the airport.

How does Mid Stay compare with Short Stay and Premium Short Stay?

All three are official self-parking products where you keep your keys and walk to the terminal. Short Stay is around 2–3 minutes away, while Premium Short Stay has a similarly short route together with extra-wide bays and Fast Track for up to two people.

Choose Mid Stay when the longer walk provides the best balance of price and convenience for your dates. Choose Short Stay for a shorter route, or Premium Short Stay when wider bays and included Fast Track justify the difference.

How does Mid Stay compare with Sentinel and Park2Travel?

Mid Stay lets you park yourself, keep your keys and walk to the terminal. Sentinel and Park2Travel are off-airport park and ride products: you leave your keys, staff park the car and a shuttle takes you to check-in in approximately 2–3 minutes.

Choose Mid Stay if keeping your keys and avoiding a bus are the priorities. Choose Sentinel or Park2Travel if you would prefer staff to park the car and a short transfer instead of the 6–9-minute walk. Park2Travel also offers an Indoor option.

Important things to know

Enter the correct registration when booking so the ANPR system can recognise your vehicle at the barriers. The car park has a 1.9-metre height restriction and accepts standard cars that fit within a 2.4m by 4.8m bay; trailers, commercial vehicles and vans are not accepted. Blue Badge bays are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but the terminal must still be reached on foot. Jet2 passengers with a valid on-site parking booking may also be eligible to use the airline’s Twilight Check-In service.

Directions

At the roundabout on the A658, near the airport, take the third exit if you are travelling north, and the first exit if you are travelling south, onto Whitehouse Lane. Take the second exit at the next roundabout. Take the first right turn into the airport grounds and keep to the left hand lane as you follow the road round to the left. Follow the signs to the Mid Stay car park and you'll see the car park ahead.

Ok and number plate recognition worked . But a walk through building works and uneven surfaces is not ideal even if it is 4/5 mins.
