Secure Airparks Self Park is a 24-hour off-airport car park around a two-minute shuttle ride from Edinburgh Airport. Drive through the ANPR-controlled entrance, find your own parking space and keep your keys while you are away. Buses run regularly every 5–10 minutes and take you directly to the terminal.

How does Secure Airparks Self Park compare with Plane Parking?

Both let you park the car yourself and keep your keys. Secure Airparks is an independent off-airport car park with a very short shuttle journey, while Plane Parking is Edinburgh Airport’s official budget car park and has a longer bus transfer.

Choose Secure Airparks for the shorter, more frequent transfer. Choose Plane Parking if official airport parking or its price for your dates is more important.

Important things to know

Enter the correct registration when booking so the ANPR system can recognise your vehicle. Allow at least 15 minutes at the car park before your earliest recommended airport check-in time, and allow additional journey time during major events at the nearby Royal Highland Showground. You keep your keys with the standard Self Park product. Accessible parking and shuttle facilities are available, and customers booking the electric charging package should take the appropriate charging cable with them.

From Forth Road Bridge: Follow the signs for the Airport.

From M8: Head for the Newbridge Roundabout (Junction 2). At Newbridge Roundabout continue on A8 (Edinburgh Road) following signs for the Airport.
Continue along A8 and only 1 and 1/4 Miles from Newbridge Roundabout, turn left down Ingliston Road leading you directly into the Car Park (please note this road may be closed if an event is on at the Highland Centre).

The final option is to follow the signs down Airport Road and take the first left at the Hilton Hotel roundabout, proceed to the end and turn right at the T-junction, 100 yards into the Car Park (this route is always available during events).

From Edinburgh and the East: Travel down Airport Road (Eastfield Road) and take the first left at the Hilton Hotel roundabout, proceed to the end and turn right at the T-junction, 100 yards into the Car Park (this route is always available during events).

Arrival procedure

Camera Recognition System in Operation. Please ensure we have correct car registration and you have your reference number ready on arrival for entry.

On arrival, please drive up to intercom and follow on screen instructions directly in front of you (you will automatically be checked in and the barrier will rise). If your details are not on screen or the barrier does not open, please use the intercom for assistance. On barrier opening please go to the nearest space and bus stop, where you will be picked up and taken to the Airport. Please take your keys with you. The bus driver will offer you an optional ticket for information on what to do on your return. You will be dropped off and picked up at Stance H (International Arrivals Door) which is right in front of the airport. Buses run regularly every 5-10 minutes with next bus time shown on the entry kiosk.

This car park is a self-park facility where you park your own vehicle and retain your keys.

Board courtesy bus and return to the car park. Further details of the return procedure will be given upon arrival at the car park.

Security

The car park holds the Park Mark award for safer parking. It has 24-hour CCTV surveillance and perimeter fencing.

Insurance

Comprehensive insurance cover excluding loose items and mechanical/electrical failure.

Disabled facilities

Assistance may be available for disabled drivers and passengers. Please contact the provider for more information.

Additional Information

Please arrive at the car park at least 15 minutes before your earliest recommended check-in time. During the Royal Highland Show in June and other major events at the Royal Highland Showground you should allow an extra 30 minutes on your journey.

Customers keep their car keys and park their own car. Please make sure to bring your confirmation with you.

Customers who book a valet will need to leave their keys with reception.

This car park does not accept large vehicles such as transit vans, or any vehicles with trailers. Max. vehicle size: up to a 17-seater transit van.

If your stay is longer than the one you booked, you will be charged extra on departure at the car park's standard daily rate. No refund will be issued for part used stays and any additional time will be charged at the local gate price.
