Flying Scot at Low Cost

Flying Scot Edinburgh Airport Parking is a 24-hour park and ride with buses running every 15 minutes and taking around three minutes to Edinburgh Airport. Park in an arrivals bay, check in at reception and leave your keys. Staff park the car while you take the included shuttle to the terminal.

The main advantage is the short transfer without having to find a permanent parking space yourself. However, you must hand over your keys and may wait for the next scheduled bus.

Important things to know

You must leave your keys and the car may be moved within the secured compound. After collecting your luggage on your return, contact Flying Scot using the courtesy phone and make your way to stand 5 in the coach park. Allow time for the bus timetable when planning your arrival at the airport.

At Newbridge Roundabout, take the exit onto Old Liston Rd/B7030.

Drive past McDonald’s and the BP Petrol Station. Turn LEFT onto Cliftonhall Rd/B7030. Drive passed Greggs the Bakers and then take the FIRST LEFT onto Harvest Rd.

Drive under the bridge. Take FIRST LEFT onto Harvest Dr, Scotmid Building is on the corner. Take FIRST LEFT onto Queen Anne Drive, SSE is on the corner. Drive to the END of Queen Anne Drive and you have arrived at the Car Park.

Heading WEST on Glasgow Rd drive passed RATHO STATION sign After the footbridge take FIRST LEFT at Travel Lodge corner onto Station Road. Drive passed Scotmid Shop. Take FIRST RIGHT onto Queen Anne Drive. Take FIRST RIGHT onto Queen Anne Drive, SSE is on the corner. Drive to the END of Queen Anne Drive and you have arrived at the Car Park.

Arrival procedure

Please confirm your trip by calling or texting 07471-763819.

On arrival, please park in one of the bays outside the reception and head inside to check in. You will have to show your confirmation and hand in your keys. The car park's staff will give you a receipt and park your car for you. There's a free transfer bus to the terminal.

Departure procedure

On your return, please call the car park so they can send the shuttle bus to pick you up. You can call them on 07554- 680642 or use the courtesy phones in the arrivals hall by the front doors. You can then make your way to stand 7 for the bus.

Please show the receipt you were given at the car park to the bus driver when the bus arrives and they will take you back to the reception where your car will be waiting. Then check out at reception and you'll be given back your keys along with a PIN to open the exit barrier.

Security

Your vehicle will be stored in a secured compound surrounded by an electric fence with floodlighting and CCTV. You also need to enter a security code to exit the car park.

Disabled facilities

The car park staff can assist disabled passengers. To arrange this, please call the provider and one of their team will contact the car park.

Additional information

Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommended check-in time. You will be required to leave your keys with the attendant.

The car park can't take vans or large commercial vehicles in the car park, or vehicles taller than 1.81 metres (6ft) or wider than 2 metres.

You will need to take a copy of your confirmation with you to the car park.

The Flying Scot driver will inspect your car and make note of any damage, but if you're not there when it’s inspected, you can’t claim for any problems. If you're worried, you can be there when they do and make sure the notes are right, but you’ll need to let Flying Scot know before you arrive and it will take half an hour and cost £5.

The Royal Highland show is running in the local area. Make sure you allow plenty of extra time to get to the airport, to allow for possible delays.
