Think of Secure Airparks Drop and Go as valet parking with a very short bus ride attached. Drive into the Drop & Go lane, hand over your car key and let the team find the parking space while you take the 1–2 minute shuttle to Edinburgh Airport.

When you return, your car should be waiting in a nearby departure bay, ready for the drive home. It removes the least enjoyable part of park and ride—circling a large car park while departures gets steadily closer—without charging you for a terminal-side meet and greet service.

Is Drop & Go the same as Meet & Greet?

Not quite. With Meet & Greet, you normally hand over the car at or beside the terminal. Secure Airparks Drop & Go is still an off-airport park and ride: you leave the car at the Eastfield Road site and take a short shuttle.

The convenience is at the car park rather than the terminal. You avoid finding a space, and your vehicle is prepared for collection when you get back, but there is still a bus involved. Fortunately, it is a very short one rather than a tour of greater Edinburgh.

How does Drop & Go compare with Secure Airparks Self Park?

Both use a short free shuttle to the airport. With Self Park, you find your own space, keep your keys and return to the same bay. With Drop & Go, you leave your key and the team parks the car for you.

Choose Self Park if keeping your keys matters or it is noticeably cheaper. Choose Drop & Go if you would rather unload near reception, get on the bus and let somebody else deal with the parking-space treasure hunt.

How does Drop & Go compare with Edinburgh Airport FastPark?

Both services park the vehicle for you and have it ready when you return. The main difference is location. FastPark is Edinburgh Airport’s official valet product beside the terminal, so there is no shuttle journey. Secure Airparks Drop & Go is off airport, but the bus takes only around 1–2 minutes and it may be cheaper.

Choose FastPark when terminal-side convenience matters most. Choose Drop & Go when you are happy to take a very short shuttle in return for a potentially lower price. Either way, somebody else gets the glamorous job of parking the car.

Important things to know

You must leave your car key, but the operator asks customers to remove house keys and keyrings. The car park and shuttle operate 24 hours a day. On your return, use the clearly marked Drop & Go stop at Stand 9 and follow the collection instructions supplied with your booking.

Arrival procedure

When you arrive, your car registration will be automatically recognised and let you in. Go to the key drop-off zone outside the reception, hand over your keys, and head to the bus stop. Catch the car park's shuttle bus to the airport.

Return procedure

When you return, catch the shuttle bus back to the car park from where it dropped you off. Show the parking staff your ticket to collect your keys; they will direct you to your car.

Accessibility

The car park has accessible shuttle buses and accessible parking bays - just be sure to leave a copy of your Blue Badge visible in your vehicle.

There's ramp access to reception as well as accessible toilets.

Additional information

The car park offers a grace period up until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £8.50 a day. This is subject to change.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).
