Southampton Airport Official Meet & Greet
You drive to the airport; they deal with the awkward parking bit. Pull into the dedicated Meet & Greet bays in the Priority area, hand your keys to the airport team and walk to the terminal in around one minute.
Your vehicle is parked in a secure official car park on airport grounds and returned to the collection area when you arrive back. It is particularly useful for families, passengers with limited mobility, heavy luggage or anyone who would rather start the holiday without circling a car park looking for a space.
Why choose Official Meet & Greet?
- One-minute terminal walk: hand over your car close to departures.
- No hunt for a space: the airport team parks the vehicle for you.
- Official airport service: the service is operated by the authorised airport team.
- On-airport storage: your vehicle remains in an official airport car park rather than being taken to a distant compound.
- Convenient collection: your car is returned close to the terminal when you arrive back.
- EV option available: selected bookings can include vehicle charging while you are away.
How does Meet & Greet compare with Priority Parking?
Both options place you around one minute from the terminal, so the difference is not the walk; it is who parks the car.
With Priority, you find a wider undercover bay yourself and keep your keys. With Meet & Greet, you leave the vehicle in the dedicated handover area, give the keys to the airport team and let them handle the parking. Choose Priority if keeping your keys matters. Choose Meet & Greet if finding a parking space is one pre-holiday task you would happily outsource.
How does Meet & Greet compare with Short Stay?
Short Stay is already only a 1–3 minute walk from the terminal, so Meet & Greet does not save a huge amount of walking time. Its real advantage is that you avoid finding a bay and carrying passengers and luggage through the car park.
If you are travelling light and happy to park yourself, Short Stay may be all you need. If you have children, bulky luggage, limited mobility or no appetite for a pre-flight tour of the multi-storey, Meet & Greet is the easier option.
Important opening times
Official Meet & Greet operates from 5am until 10pm. It is not a 24-hour service, so check that both your arrival and return times fall within the operating hours before booking.
Directions
Leave M27 at junction 5. Take the exit for the A335 (signposted Eastleigh/Southampton airport). At the roundabout take the second exit towards the airport. Take the first left at the next roundabout. Follow signs for the Short Stay/Meet & Greet car park.
Arrival procedure
On arrival at the car park, your car registration will be read and recognised automatically. The barrier will lift and you’ll be given a ticket, which you should keep safe as you’ll need it when you return. Please drive to the pick-up and drop off bays where the airport team will meet you, collect your keys and check over your car. They’ll move your car for you while you walk to the terminal.
Return procedure
On your return, please follow signs for the Short Stay/Meet & Greet car park when you leave the terminal. You will meet the airport team in the same place where you dropped your car off. They’ll give you your keys and you can exit the car park.
Security
The car park has entry and exit barriers, CCTV and regular staff patrols. All drivers are fully insured and your car will never leave the airport grounds. It also has the Park Mark award for security.
Disabled facilities
This option is ideal for travellers with reduced mobility as the pick-up and drop-off bays are closest to the terminal. There are also Special Assistance Call Points linked to the terminal’s service desk to request help when you’re at the car park.
