Newcastle Airport Premium Meet & Greet

Premium Meet & Greet is Newcastle Airport’s official drop-your-keys-and-go service, around a one-minute walk from check-in. Drive through the vehicle inspection booth, park outside the customer service office and hand over your keys. The airport team then parks the car for you.

Your vehicle is stored in a secure airport location and returned to the Meet & Greet car park before you arrive back. There is no shuttle and no need to telephone a driver.

How does Meet & Greet compare with Premium Fast Track?

Both place you around a minute from the terminal. Premium Fast Track is self-parking, provides extra-wide spaces and lets you keep your keys. With Meet & Greet, you hand over the keys and airport staff park the car.

Choose Premium Fast Track if you want the car to remain where you parked it. Choose Meet & Greet if finding a space is a holiday task you would happily outsource.

How does Meet & Greet compare with Short Stay 1?

Short Stay 1 is also immediately outside the terminal, but you find your own bay and keep your keys. Meet & Greet removes the parking-space search and usually comes at a higher price.

Choose Short Stay 1 for straightforward self-parking. Choose Meet & Greet for the easiest arrival and return.

Important things to know

You must leave your car key, so remove house keys and unnecessary keyrings. The maximum vehicle height is 2.7 metres. Vans, motorhomes, lorries, caravans and vehicles with eight seats or more are not accepted.

Overview

Newcastle International Premium Meet & Greet is an official on-airport car park service from which you can walk to the terminal in as little as 1-2 minutes.

Although a meet & greet service, it has an official drop off and pick up location, just across the road from Premium Fast Track. In that you have to cross the road, it is a touch farther than Premium Fast Track and a touch nearer than Short Stay 1 (As the distance for Short Stay 1 is listed as 2-3 minutes we are splitting hairs here). Still, pricing reflects this difference with pricing coming in between the other two options. It is cheaper than Premium Fast Track as you have to give over your keys and accept that it will be parked in a secure compound offsite.

Security

The car park is secured by entry and exit barriers, fencing and CCTV. It holds the Park Mark award.

Arrival procedure

On arrival, please drive into the car park and your car will be photographed automatically, to record the condition of the car. From there, drive towards the customer service centre and park in one of the drop-off bays. You'll be met by a member of the team who will give you a receipt, which you'll need to keep for your return. From the car park it's a short 2-minute walk to check-in via a sheltered walkway.

Directions

From the A1, take the A696 towards Newcastle airport. When you approach the airport roundabout take the 2nd exit. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit, following signs to the Premium Meet and Greet car park. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit into the car park.

Return procedure

On return, once you've collected your luggage head back to the Customer Service centre, located opposite arrivals. Your car and keys will be returned to you.

Disabled facilities

This service is suitable for disabled customers as there are no transfers.

Additional information

You will be required to leave your keys.

No mobile homes, lorries or caravans are permitted even if multiple spaces are booked. Meet and Greet parking is also not suitable for vans or vehicles with 8 seats or more. If you need parking for a van or vehicle with 8 seats or more, please try one of the Long Stay car parking packages.
