The car park is located within a 5 minute walk to Terminal 3 and a short bus ride to Terminal 2.
Transfers from airport
If you're travelling from Terminal 3, the car park is within a 5-minute walk from the Terminal.
For Terminal 2, you'll need to catch the shuttle bus, which takes 5 minutes to Terminal 2.
Manchester Airport Drop & Go – P16 is an official parking service where you leave your car and keys and an insured airport driver finds the parking space for you. Terminal 3 is around a five-minute walk away, while a free shuttle runs to Terminal 2 around the clock. When you return, collect your keys from a locker and your car will be waiting in the returns area.
Drop & Go sits between self-parking and Meet & Greet. You do not have to search for a space, but you deliver the car to a dedicated car park rather than immediately outside the terminal.
Why choose Drop & Go – P16?
Staff parking: leave your keys and an insured airport driver parks the vehicle.
Convenient for Terminal 3: the terminal is approximately five minutes away on foot.
Terminal 2 shuttle: free transfers operate 24 hours a day.
Vehicle inspection: cameras record the condition of the car as you enter.
Simple collection: retrieve your keys from a locker and collect the car from the returns area.
Official airport service: Drop & Go is operated within Manchester Airport’s parking system.
How does P16 compare with Drop & Go Express – P10?
Both are official services where you leave your keys and an airport driver parks the car. P16 is around a five-minute walk from Terminal 3 and uses a shuttle for Terminal 2. P10 is approximately 1–2 minutes from Terminal 3 and 12–15 minutes from Terminal 2 on foot, so no shuttle is required.
Choose P10 for the shortest route to Terminal 3 or if you want to avoid a bus. Choose P16 for Terminal 2 if you would rather use a shuttle than walk for 12–15 minutes, or whenever it offers the better price.
How does Drop & Go compare with JetParks?
JetParks is self-parking: you find a space, keep your keys and take a shuttle to the terminal. With Drop & Go, you hand over your keys and a driver parks the car, while Terminal 3 passengers can walk directly to check-in.
Choose JetParks when keeping your keys and paying less are the priorities. Choose Drop & Go when avoiding the search for a space and having a shorter journey to Terminal 3 justify the price difference.
How does Drop & Go compare with Meet & Greet?
Both services involve leaving your keys and having an airport driver park the vehicle. Meet & Greet is positioned next to Terminal 2 and provides a short walk to check-in, while P16 requires a shuttle to Terminal 2. New bookings are no longer accepted for Terminal 3 Meet & Greet.
Choose Terminal 2 Meet & Greet for the shortest route to that terminal. Choose P16 when it costs less, or for Terminal 3 when a five-minute walk is convenient enough.
Important things to know
Drop & Go is pre-book only and normally has a minimum stay of four days, subject to availability. Separate the car key from other keys and keyrings before handing it over. Vehicles must fit beneath the two-metre height restriction and trailers are not accepted. Parking outside the booked dates may incur an additional charge.
Directions
Exit the M56 at Junction 5 and follow the signs for Terminal 3. At the next roundabout take the first left and continue straight on until the next roundabout. At this roundabout, continue straight on, into the Drop and Go arrivals area.
Arrival procedure
On arrival at the car park, your car reg will be automatically recognised and the barrier will lift. Please drive through an inspection area, which will automatically scan your car and record its condition so we can make sure it'll be returned to you in the same condition as when you left it. Please park your car, unload your luggage and head to reception to hand over your keys. Please note that keyrings and other keys cannot be taken, so you'll need to separate your car key from the others. You'll be given a receipt for your key, which you'll need to keep safe until your return. Then take the 5-minute walk to Terminal 3. If you are travelling from Terminal 1 or 2, it's a 2-minute shuttle bus ride to Terminal 1 and 5-minutes to Terminal 2. In the meantime, an insured driver will park your vehicle within the car park.
Return procedure
On your return, please head back to the Drop and Go reception and show your receipt at reception. You will then be able to collect your keys. Your car will be parked in the arrivals area.
Security
The car park has entry/exit barriers and is regularly patrolled. It has been awarded the Park Mark award.
Disabled facilities
Blue Badge bays and accessible shuttle buses are available in this car park.
Additional information
You will be required to leave your keys.
The maximum height restriction is 2.0 metres. Trailers are not allowed in the parking compound. Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit under the 2m entry barrier and fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).
The car park offers a grace period of six hours at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £25 per 24 hours (subject to change). If you pick your car up early, they can't give you a refund.

Everything was very simple and hassle free but a better sign is required on or near the roundabout saying Drop & Go Not D and G that could have been anything

Second time I've used this service. Secure parking which is efficient and easy to use. Great value for money. This type of airport parking is definitely the way forward. Have already booked for January 2022

The automated check-in seemed a little complicated at first, but having gone through it once (with an assistant) and having become familiar with procedures, it's very quick and efficient; being only a matter of minutes away from T1 check-in is also a great plus.
