Dublin Metro Hotel Parking
Dublin Metro Hotel parking offers secure underground self-parking around seven minutes from Dublin Airport, with transfers available to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. On arrival, park outside reception, collect your parking permit and key card, then drive into the underground car park allocated to you. You park the car yourself, keep your keys and your vehicle remains in the same space while you are away.
The airport shuttle operates between approximately 04:00 and 23:45, making Metro a useful alternative if you want covered parking rather than an outdoor Park & Ride site. The shuttle timetable is more restricted than the 24-hour services offered by some other Dublin parking options, so check that it works with your flight times before booking.
Why choose Dublin Metro Hotel parking?
- Underground parking: your vehicle is parked inside rather than exposed to the weather.
- Keep your keys: you park the car yourself and it is not moved while you are away.
- Secure access: the underground parking areas are protected by metal shutters operated using a key card collected from hotel reception.
- Short transfer: the shuttle journey to Dublin Airport takes around seven minutes.
- Regular security: CCTV operates at the hotel and security staff carry out overnight checks.
- Serves both terminals: the airport shuttle uses Zone 16, which can be reached from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 via the covered walkway.
How does Metro Hotel parking compare with Clayton Hotel parking?
Dublin Parking at the Clayton Hotel is the closest hotel-based alternative. Both let you park your own car and keep your keys, but Clayton's shuttle currently operates 24 hours a day while Metro's service runs between approximately 04:00 and 23:45.
Choose Metro when secure underground parking is particularly important. Choose Clayton when round-the-clock airport transfers or a complimentary shuttle are more important.
How does Metro Hotel parking compare with Park2Travel?
Park2Travel Park and Ride is a dedicated airport parking site with an approximately six-minute transfer and buses every 12 minutes, 24 hours a day. Both products let you keep your keys, but Park2Travel is mainly outdoor parking whereas Metro offers underground parking.
Choose Park2Travel when frequent 24-hour transfers matter most. Choose Metro when keeping your vehicle undercover is worth the more restricted shuttle timetable.
How does Metro Hotel parking compare with Park and Fly?
Dublin Airport Park and Fly is another self-park option where you keep your keys. Its shuttle operates 24 hours a day and currently takes around 10–15 minutes, compared with Metro's shorter journey of around seven minutes but more limited operating hours.
Park and Fly is better suited to very early or very late flights. Metro may suit you better if you prefer underground parking and your flight falls comfortably within its shuttle timetable.
Important things to know
Metro's airport shuttle currently operates between 04:00 and 23:45, so this is not a 24-hour transfer service. Allow around 15 minutes before your chosen shuttle departure to park, collect your permit and key card and reach the hotel collection point. On your return, head to the hotel-shuttle side of Zone 16 in the Dublin Airport Coach Park. The current Airport Parking Shop product information lists a €2 per-person transfer charge for parking customers, so check the exact charge shown on your booking confirmation. The underground entrance has a maximum vehicle height of approximately 2.1m. The hotel currently states that its airport shuttle does not operate from 14:00 on 24 December until 04:00 on 27 December, so Metro is not suitable for airport parking requiring transfers during that period.
