Skyport is a self-park, keep-your-keys car park around six minutes from Glasgow Airport by complimentary shuttle. Drive to the Burnbrae Drive site, let the ANPR system recognise your registration, choose your own parking space and keep your keys while you are away. Transfers operate on demand 24 hours a day.

Airparks Self Park also uses the Burnbrae Drive parking operation. Both products use ANPR, let you park yourself and keep your keys, and quote an airport transfer of around six minutes.

The practical differences may therefore come down mainly to price and rate conditions. Skyport also has separately sold EV-charging and larger-vehicle products, which may make it the better choice if you have specific vehicle requirements.

How does Skyport compare with Direct Parking?

Direct Parking is a genuinely separate keep-your-keys Park & Ride option. Its shuttle takes around three minutes compared with approximately six minutes from Skyport.

Choose Direct Parking if the shortest shuttle journey is your priority. Choose Skyport if its live price is lower or you need one of its specialist EV or larger-vehicle products.

Important things to know

Skyport is a self-park, keep-your-keys product. Make sure your registration is correct when booking because entry uses ANPR. The free shuttle operates 24/7 on demand and normally takes around six minutes.

If you need to charge an electric vehicle, make sure you book the specific electric-charging product; a standard Skyport booking does not include use of the charging bays. The EV bays are separate from the normal parking area and your vehicle remains where you leave it while charging.

Standard vehicles should fit within a normal parking bay. Skyport also offers a larger-vehicle product for vehicles approximately 2–2.2m wide, 2.1–3m high and 5–5.5m long, so choose that product if your vehicle exceeds the normal limits. Current booking information gives a discretionary grace period until midnight on your booked return day, after which an additional charge of around £10 per day may apply.

Security

The car park is a Park Mark Safer Parking facility and has CCTV, high-security fencing, floodlighting as well as ANPR and 24hr staffing.

Arrival procedure

- Approach the barrier (the system will recognise your number plate and automatically open). Drop off luggage and passengers at the pick-up point. Park in the first available space and make your way to the pick-up point for transfer to Glasgow Airport

- Take the shuttle bus to the airport. Transfers run on demand, 24 hours a day and take around 6 minutes.

Return procedure

Once you've cleared customs, please call the car park to request a pick up (there's a freephone in Arrivals if you need it). You'll be met in the same place as you when you were dropped off.

Directions

From the M8 from Glasgow take junction 28a. From Erskine Bridge, use junction 29.


Then:
- Take the A737 towards Irvine.

- After less than a mile, take the exit for Linwood and the A761.

- Follow the slip road, which leads to the Linclive roundabout.

- Take the second exit for Linwood Industrial Estate onto Burnbrae Road.

- Turn left into Burnbrae Drive.

- Skyport is on the right at the end of the road.


Remember: For satnavs, we suggest using PA3 3BJ for a more accurate result.

Electric Vehicle Charging.

To charge your electric vehicle in this car park you need to ensure you book the "electric charging" option. This should be obvious in the name of the product. If you have booked this product, you can charge your electric vehicle in this car park. All you need to do is;

- Drive towards the main car park, past the reception.

- Turn right just before the main car park and you'll find sheltered bays to park your electric car and plug it in. Charging ports are mounted on the wall.

- Plug in your car and make your way to the reception to sign in.

- Once you have signed in, they will call the transfer bus to come and pick you up.

- On your return, give them a call and they will arrange for the bus to come and collect you.

- Your car will be in the same place you left it!

If you have booked the regular Skyport product, you will need to park in a regular car park space, not the electric charging spaces.

Large Vehicles

Choose this product if you have a larger vehicle. Recommended if your car is between 2m and 2.2m wide, 2.1m and 3m high and 5m and 5.5m long. A great choice for a vehicle between the size of a Range Rover Sport and a Mitsubishi Warrior or Volkswagen LWB Transporter.
