Cardiff Airport Premium Parking

Cardiff Airport Premium Parking is Cardiff Airport’s closest self-parking option, with extra-wide bays around a two-minute walk from the terminal. Park the car yourself, keep your keys and walk straight to check-in. There is no shuttle or key handover.

The main advantages over the airport’s standard car parks are the larger spaces and convenient location. You are paying for easier parking, not for somebody else to park the car.

How does Premium compare with Car Park 1?

Both are official self-parking options where you keep your keys and walk to the terminal. Premium is around two minutes away and provides extra-wide bays, while Car Park 1 takes roughly 2–5 minutes and will normally cost less.

Choose Premium when the larger spaces and shortest route justify the price difference. Otherwise, Car Park 1 offers much the same straightforward parking experience.

How does Premium compare with Express Park?

Both are only a few minutes from check-in. With Premium, you park in an extra-wide bay and keep your keys. With Express Park, you leave your key and airport staff park the vehicle for you.

Choose Premium if you want the car to remain where you left it. Choose Express Park if finding a space is the part of airport parking you would rather avoid.

Important things to know

Enter the correct registration when booking so the ANPR system can recognise your vehicle. The car park is suitable for passengers with limited mobility because no shuttle is required. Trailers and commercial vehicles are not accepted.

Directions

Leave the M4 at Junction 33 onto the A4232. Continue along the A4232, following signs to Cardiff Airport. Take the third exit on the large roundabout onto the A4050. Continue along the A4050 and take the second exit at the roundabout. Proceed along the A4050 until you see another roundabout, take the second exit onto the A4226. Take the second exit at the next roundabout and continue along the A4226. You'll come across another roundabout on this road, take the first exit onto Port Road. Shortly after, take the third exit at the next roundabout, look out for the grey Meet and Greet parking signs and on that road, you'll see your last roundabout, take the first exit. Continue along this road and stay in the right-hand lane. Follow the signs for Premium Parking.

Arrival procedure

When you arrive, please make sure you are in the car you made your booking with. As you approach the entry barrier the camera will read your number plate. Please press the button for a ticket and drive through. You can park in any space and keep your keys. Then take the 2-minute walk to the terminal.

Return procedure

On leaving the car park, please drive up to the exit barrier where the camera will read your number plate and confirm your stay. Press the assistance button at the machine and quote your booking reference.

Security

The car park is secured by CCTV and entry/exit barriers.

Disabled facilities

This car park is suitable for customers with limited mobility as there's no need for a shuttle bus.

Additional information

The car park offers a grace period of 2 hours at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £10 per day (subject to change).

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles/not minibuses) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).
