Airparks Express is a self-parking option with a shuttle journey of around three minutes to Birmingham Airport. Park the car yourself, keep your keys and return to the same space after your trip. Free buses run approximately every 10 minutes, day and night.

Its main advantage is combining a very short transfer with the control of self-parking. It is closer and quicker than the main Airparks Birmingham site, although travellers wanting to avoid a shuttle completely may prefer one of the official car parks opposite the terminal.

Why choose Airparks Express?

  • Three-minute transfer: the closest Airparks car park to Birmingham Airport.
  • Frequent buses: free shuttles run approximately every 10 minutes, day and night.
  • Keep your keys: nobody else needs to drive or move the vehicle.
  • Car remains in place: return to the same space where you parked.
  • Secure parking: protected by perimeter fencing, floodlighting and staff and security-dog patrols.
  • Accessible service: Blue Badge bays and wheelchair-accessible buses are available.

How does Airparks Express compare with Express Premium?

Both products use the same car park and three-minute shuttle service. You park the car yourself and keep your keys with either option. Express Premium guarantees a space close to the main bus stop, reducing the distance you need to walk across the car park.

Standard Express provides the same transfer and security, so Premium is only worthwhile when the shorter walk to the bus stop justifies the additional price.

How does Airparks Express compare with Airparks Drop & Go?

Airparks Express is the quicker option: its transfer takes around three minutes and you keep your keys. At the main Airparks Birmingham site, you leave your keys so staff can park the vehicle, and buses normally run every 25 minutes with a journey of around 14 minutes.

Choose Express for the shorter transfer and to prevent the car from being moved. Choose Drop & Go if it is cheaper for your dates and you do not mind the longer journey or key handover.

How does Airparks Express compare with Car Park 1?

Both are self-parking options where you keep your keys. Airparks Express is an open-air car park requiring a three-minute shuttle. Birmingham Airport Car Park 1 is a covered official multi-storey approximately one minute’s walk from the terminal.

Choose Airparks Express when it offers a worthwhile saving. Choose Car Park 1 when covered parking and walking directly to check-in are worth the price difference.

Important things to know

The standard product accepts non-commercial vehicles that fit within a standard parking bay; trailers are not permitted. The car park may allow collection up to midnight on your booked return date, but later collection is charged at the prevailing daily rate.

This is my go too carpark when flying from BIA. The staff are great and it's just a few minutes ride on the shuttle bus to the A drop off point. On returning go to the same point your were dropped off at (A) and wait for the Blue bus which stated Airport Express. Make sure you have your Blue ticket you were given upon arriving at the airport as you will need that for boarding the bus and exiting the carpark.
