Leave the M27 at junction 5 and take the A335, following signs for the airport. At the mini-roundabout take the second exit for the airport. At the next roundabout, which has a model aeroplane on it, take the first exit, Mitchell Way. Go straight over the next roundabout and you will find the Short Stay car park on your right.
Please call 02380 658 223 (option 2) 20 minutes before you arrive at the airport to make sure a driver is waiting for you. Enter the Short Stay car park and follow signs for the Drop off/Pick up area. If you need to take a ticket then do so, but make sure to keep it and hand it to the driver. Park your car and a uniformed driver will find you. Your car will be quickly inspected by the driver to confirm any existing damage. He will then take your keys and park the car for you.
Please have your return flight details and booking confirmation to hand when you meet the driver.
On your return, please call 02380 658 223 (option 2) when you are ready to collect your car. To leave as soon as possible, call just after you leave the plane. A driver will be waiting with your car where you were met on arrival and will have a ticket to let you exit the car park. Due to airport restrictions the driver can only wait for ten minutes, so don't call until you are ready to leave.
The car park is protected by CCTV and regular patrols.
This car park is ideal for disabled passengers as there is no need for transfer buses.
Your car must fit into a regular parking space and be under 2 metres in height to enter the car park. If your car is larger than this, please email or call the provider and they will make arrangements for staff to meet you at the entrance.
If you are delayed on return from your holiday, Maple Manor will charge you £10.00 a day, which must be paid before you leave the car park.

The parking service was very efficient and easy at both ends however when we picked up our car on our return the whole front was covered in bird excrement which was very disappointing as this meant the first thing we had to do was go and clean the car. I understand the car will likely be parked outside but would expect such mess to at least be brushed off to prevent damage to the paintwork.

The booking system on-line and the follow-up emails were good. The only real problem was finding the car park where we were due to leave the car. Our satnav took us somewhere, but not to the SO50 9HT postcode. There were no signs anywhere to re-assure us that we were going in the right direction. We got directions by phone but even after arriving we had to ask a parked coached driver if we were in the right place! Thereafter all went well. We were delivered to the short stay car park and told we should be at the same place for the subsequent return journey. The baggage collection at the airport was much quicker than anticipated so our 'pick-up' phone call was made rather later than it could have been. It meant we had a bit of a wait for the car but that was our fault.
The system is a good one and we will probably use it again. How do we find out the short stay car park charges so we can compare costs?
