This on-site car park is available to passengers travelling from Terminal 2 only. Transfers run day and night every 10 minutes and the journey takes 5-10 minutes. The car park is fully secure and has been awarded the Park Mark. Features include security fencing, floodlighting and patrols. CCTV footage is monitored but may not be recorded. Disabled parking bays are provided.



Exit the M56 at Junction 5, keep to the left and take the first exit signposted Terminal 2. At the first roundabout take the 3rd exit following signs to Terminal 2. At the second roundabout take the second exit signposted Long Stay Parking keeping in the right-hand lane. Proceed straight on past the multi storey car park and continue until you reach the roundabout at which it is signposted to turn left for Long Stay Parking. After the roundabout turn right at the T-junction and continue straight ahead, following signs for Long Stay Parking.

Please be aware that there are currently roadworks at and around the airport, and some road layouts have changed. Please follow airport signage.

The postcode for T2 Long Stay is M90 5PR.


Arrival procedure

Please check your booking confirmation as details may vary by provider.

On arrival, please drive up to the barrier (it will recognise your number plate and rise automatically), then drive in and park in any space.

If the barrier doesn't rise, please hold the QR bar code (a square with patterns in it) on your confirmation email up to the scanner on the machine (aim the red laser light at the code and you should hear a beep and be let it). If this doesn't work either, please press the intercom to speak to someone at the car park.

Please don't press the green flashing button as this is for customers who've not booked.


Return procedure

Please check your booking confirmation as details may vary by provider.

On your return, please drive to the barrier, which will lift automatically. If you've stayed longer than you booked for, you'll be prompted to make a payment using the chip and pin device. If you encounter any problems, press the intercom for help.



The car park is secured with regular patrols by security staff, security fencing and good floodlighting. This car park has been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers.

Please note that although the CCTV is monitored, it's not always recorded.



Parking is at the vehicle owner's own risk, subject to the car parks printed terms and conditions.

Additional information

Arrivals and departures before or after booked days will incur an additional charge as per standard Long Stay tariffs.

Please know that if you’re delayed picking your car up, you’ll need to pay for the extra parking. You’ll be charged the car park's overstay fee (£15 per day as of Feb 2017). If you pick your car up early, you won't be given a refund.

A minimum stay of three days applies for this option.

Please note the transfer bus only serves terminal 2.

Maximum height 2.2m (7ft 2in).

Trailers are not allowed in this car park.

Please note, customers must enter the Long Stay Car Park terminal that they booked for or they will be billed twice for their stay.

"Booking was simple as it auto filled much of the info based on our flight number.
Upon our arrival at Manchester I was impressed with the ease of access to the parking (number plate recognition) and the quick arrival and journey time of the transfer bus.
However, upon arrival at Terminal 2 we were confused as there was no sign of our flight. Eventually we worked out that we were at the wrong terminal, our flight left from terminal 1. This was a 15 minute walk away, with no shuttle bus. Not good for the stress levels that early in the morning, with children, luggage and a flight to catch! Luckily we arrived in time to check-in for our flight.
Upon our return, we had the same walk to do again, this time worrying if we would be charged extra if we failed to make it before our allotted booking time ended. The extra walk did take us over our allotted time, but thankfully the barrier lifted with no extra cost.
Having read through the confirmation emails again, I see that it does state that the parking is at T2, but the consequence of this is really not made clear enough. I doubt that I will be booking with you again as the stress of the experience (before and after) our holiday was really not worth the minimal saving against other providers.

In summary - if you are going to offer parking based on flight numbers you need to make it much clearer that it will be at a different terminal. Customers will not be expecting this!"
