To and From the East and A1:
Access to London Luton Airport from the East and A1 is via the A505 dual carriageway through Hitchin. The airport lies just off the A505 and is clearly signposted.

To and From the M25:
Access to London Luton Airport from the West is possible through several routes. If approaching via Dunstable, follow the airport signs. Alternative approaches include travelling via M40/M25 to join the M1 and then exit via Junction 10. Exit the M25 at Junction 21 for the access to the M1.

To and From the M1:
London Luton Airport is only 30 minutes from North London, 15 minutes from the M25 and 5 minutes from the M1. The airport is just two miles from the M1 motorway Junction 10. The route to the airport is clearly signposted.

Directions to Luton Airport Multi Storey Car Park Level 3:
Follow the signs for Luton Airport Short Term Car Park. Ignore the signs that say Short Stay Car Park Closed. Follow signs for Multi Storey Car Park 1. Continue to Level 3 of the Multi Storey Car Park when you will be met by one of our members of staff.

Arrival procedure

On arrival, please call the car park on 07957667590 ca. 40 minutes before you arrive at the Multi-Storey Car Park Level 3 Meet and Greet parking area. You will be met by a driver from Swift, who will show you their ID and paperwork for your car which will have to be checked and signed by yourself. Your car will then be taken to their secured compound while you walk to check-in which takes 3 to 4 minutes.

Return procedure

On your return, please call 07957667590 when you arrive in the baggage hall. This should give the car park plenty of time to make sure that your car is waiting for you at the collection point inside the Multi Storey Car Park Level 3.

If you come back any later than planned, you will need to pay your driver for the extra time when you get back. The car park will cover your exit fees for up to 15 minutes only. If the driver has to wait longer than that, you will need to pay £7 to exit the car park. This will continue to increase the longer the driver has to wait as this is how much the airport charges.


The car park is patrolled by security staff 24 hours a day and CCTV is in use, along with entry and exit barriers, a fence and floodlighting. It has also been awarded the Park Mark security award.

Disabled facilities

Because of the current airport refurbishment the ground around the car park is uneven, so please know that this may not be the best option for customers with mobility issues. If you do choose to book, please call the car park in advance on 07957667590 and they will try to allocate you the closest space available.

Additional information

Please note that due to the ongoing redevelopment works at Luton airport, travel around the airport may take longer than normal. We'd recommend you allow an extra hour to get to the airport particularly at peak times.

Peak travel times for Luton airport are all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday and between 4am and 9am, 1pm and 3pm and 5pm and 7pm on other days.

Totally let down by paying extra for getting car out of multi-storey. Delay at passport control meant our car was waiting for us for too long and we were charged for collection. I’m aware this is in documentation but could have been advised when I rang as said ‘I’m in a long cue at passport control!’. You do this every day and when challenged explained that what happened to us happens to loads of people every day. As the most expensive service on offer at Luton this is poor customer service. Sort it out.

Despite road and building works we found the access to the multi story car park very easy to find. The only problem, which was not your fault, was the long ques for passport control upon our return. This meant that the "free" parking slot for collecting our cars had expired and it looked like we might have to pay a surcharge. However your friendly & efficient staff saved the day and we did not have to pay the excess. I would definitely use your service again.
