How does Skypark compare with Liverpool Airport Long Stay?
Long Stay is indicated to be slightly nearer at 4-5 minutes compared to 5-6 for Skypark, but there isn't much in it. The important differences are who operates the car park and what happens to your keys.
Long Stay is an official Liverpool Airport car park where you find your own space and keep your keys. Skypark is independently operated and requires you to leave your car key so staff can park the vehicle. Choose Skypark when it offers a worthwhile saving or you prefer dropping the car at reception. Choose Long Stay when keeping your keys and using an official airport car park matter more.
How does Skypark compare with Park Smart?
Park Smart is Liverpool Airport’s official budget self-parking option, generally around a seven-minute walk from the terminal. You park the car yourself and keep your keys.
Skypark is similarly close and saves you from finding a space, but you must leave your key and there may be an additional airport access charge if you use the shuttle.
Important things to know
You will need to leave your car key, so remove house keys and unnecessary keyrings before travelling. Bookings normally need to be made at least 48 hours in advance. This page covers outdoor parking; indoor parking is a separate product and must be selected specifically when available.
Standard prices normally apply only to vehicles that fit within an ordinary parking bay. Vans, commercial vehicles, trailers and unusually large vehicles may be refused or charged extra, so check before booking. Customers requiring mobility assistance should contact the car park in advance rather than relying on the walking route.
Directions
- Exit the M62 at Junction 6 (which is also Junction 1 of the M57) and follow the signs for Liverpool John Lennon Airport via the Knowsley Expressway.
- Continue for approximately 2.5 miles, then take the third exit at the roundabout onto Speke Road.
- Drive another 2.5 miles before turning left onto Western Avenue.
After half a mile, turn right onto Hale Road.
- Take the next right onto Speke Hall Avenue.
- Immediately turn left onto Owen Drive.
- The car park is located at the end of the road on the right-hand side.
Arrival procedure
On arrival, drive to Skypark Liverpool at 25 Owen Drive, Speke, L24 1YL. Then follow the signs to the check-in area, park in a designated bay, and head to reception with your booking confirmation. Once checked in, you can walk to the airport in just a few minutes.
Departure procedure
After landing, please collect your luggage and walk back to the car park, where your vehicle will be ready for collection.

Use skypark 3-4times a year. LASP has been our worst experience. The facility is not manned 24hours. On arrival back in the UK it took three phone calls to be picked up. Nine passangers and a baby in the rain for just over half an hour. Not pleased.

I left the car for 2 weeks at a good price but when I got back after the car I found a fine in the windshield and they told me to call that number in the fine but no one responds now I'm waiting to see how much I pay I repeat I left the car parked as much as I paid no extra hour

This was a very bad experience, we booked Skypark Liverpool for our parking the price was good but the service terrible it said on our confirmation sheet we would be transferred to airport with a charge of £3 for us not a problem we had no email or anything before hand,on arrival a young scruffy lad appeared no hello or anything got in turned music on full blast,drove us down some back roads then went in the opposite direction to the airport,when I said excuse me were are you taking us he just said shouting over the music you have to get out here,I am not to good on my legs and said this was difficult for me he just said get off and sort yourself out .This was such a worry as we were going away for a month.Things did not improve on our return I phoned 3 times before someone eventually shown up no manners so dirty and scruffy never go there

Would definitely recommend this parking service. Dropped off right outside the doors of the airport which cost us an extra £1.50 as we shared minibus shuttle wit another couple. Arrived early hours and driver arrived promptly after telephoning him would use again no problems.
