Overview

Heathrow Allegiance Park & Ride is an established, well reviewed third-party park and ride car park.

It is one of a number of secure third-party off-airport park and ride car parks - Terminals Parking, Elite Parking, Purple Parking and Maple - that offer extremely competitive pricing compared to the official Heathrow park and ride.

If you haven't already done a search, then you will find pricing for Allegiance is generally, with Terminals Parking, the cheapest of the third-party park & ride options. But it comes with some trade-offs.

Below I have listed the key features for Heathrow Allegiance Parking and done a comparison with the others:

It is situated in a business centre in Hounslow and car parking is open air. If you are looking for a covered option then you have Purple Parking and Elite Parking.

Like all of them, it has 24/7 CCTV coverage, full lighting and professional on-site staff.

It is flexible.

It is inside the ULEZ zone so check your car as it could mean 2 possible payments. Elite Parking is definitely outside the ULEZ zone.

Travel time - In terms of travel time, all of them cite between 10 - 20 minutes.

Transport to terminal - It has a shuttle bus that is on-demand, but it only takes you to Hatton Cross Underground Station. This station is part of Heathrow network so it should be free but it still means changing to the Tube. The other options have buses to the terminal: Purple Parking and Maple Express have a bus with transfers every 20 minutes and the other 2 transfers on request. It recommends you call 30 minutes before arrival to ensure the bus is ready for you as you arrive.

Open times - The car park is open from 7am to 9.30pm, so that is obviously a big concern if your flight is arriving outside these times.

Purple: shuttle 04:00–23:40 (staff 24/7, but shuttle not)

Maple: opening times + shuttle 04:00–23:59

Terminals: open 04:45–00:00, shuttle 04:00–23:30, after-hours possible (fee)

Elite: opening times and shuttle times - 04:30–23:59.

Should you book Allegiance? Besides opening times, having to change to the Tube might be a concern. The Tube could possibly be delayed but then a shuttle bus could be stuck in traffic. As with any of the third-party suppliers you need to leave a little bit more time to get to your terminal in exchange for saving compared to official parking.

Arrival procedure

You can drive to the security barrier and present your booking confirmation to the security guard. Once in the car park, you can turn left and head to the Allegiance office. Park your vehicle in one of the designated bays, lock your car, and take your belongings. You can go to the Allegiance cabin for check-in. A shuttle will either be waiting for you or will arrive within a few minutes to transport you to Hatton Cross Underground Station.

Return procedure

After you have collected your luggage, please call the shuttle hotline at 0330 1188341. Please note that a shuttle will be dispatched to meet you at Hatton Cross Underground Station. Please check with the car park team for the official pick-up points for each terminal.

Security

24/7 CCTV monitoring, manned security, and a secure entry and exit system.

Additional information

Overstay fees are charged at £10 per day (subject to change). If you expect to be more than an hour early or late for your booking, please call ahead to inform the office. Overstays past midnight will incur additional fees, payable upon return.
