East Midlands Jet Parks Plus

This car park is on-site and was previously known as Long Stay Car Park 6 and Shuttle Plus. Transfer buses run every quarter an hour and they take around 6 minutes to reach the terminal. The car park benefits from the police Park Mark award and has security fencing, CCTV and security patrols.

Directions

From the North leave the M1 at Junction 24 and, following the signs to the airport, take the A453 for approximately 1/2 mile. Turn right into the airport.

From the South leave the M1 at Junction 23a and follow the signs to the airport.

From the West follow A50 to J24 then follow the signs to East Midlands airport.

Upon your arrival at the airport, Long stay car parks are clearly signposted by entering the site at the main entrance, turn left at the first roundabout traffic island and following the road until the next roundabout. Proceed straight on, reaching a third roundabout. Turn left and at the next roundabout turn left again. At the fifth roundabout, turn right into Jet Parks Plus car park.

Arrival procedure

Drive up to the entry barrier. Your car registration will be read by the car park's automatic number plate recognition machine, which will give you a ticket. Make your way to any space and park your car. Keep your ticket safe, as you will need it when you return.

Please be aware of the vehicle height restriction of 6ft 6.

If the machine doesn't give you a ticket, press the assistance button and explain that your car hasn't been recognised. You'll be asked to confirm your details, including your car registration number, so you should bring a copy of your booking confirmation with you. The machine will then give you a ticket as normal.

Return procedure

Just catch the shuttle bus back to the car park, make your way back to your car and drive to the exit barrier. Insert the ticket you were given when you arrived; the barrier should lift automatically. If it doesn't, or it asks you to pay anything, press the intercom button to speak to a member of staff. Again, you should have a copy of your booking confirmation with you. Don't put your credit or debit card into the barrier - you've already paid.

Security

The car park has perimeter fencing,CCTV and regular security patrols.This car park has been awarded the Park Mark for safer parking. The Park Mark means that you are parking in an area that has been vetted by the police to make sure that the site has measures in place to create a safer environment. Park Mark awarded parking areas are run by responsible operators who are concerned with your safety and the safety of your vehicle.

Insurance

The airport is insured for damage caused by their own negligence but will not normally accept responsibility for the acts of a third party. Full details are available from the car park on request.

All buses are DDA compliant and able to accommodate wheelchairs

Additional information

Due to the building of a carriageway, the M1 junction closest to the airport and the A453 will be closed between 20:00 and 06:00. An 11-mile diversion will be in place and will be signposted, however anyone using the route should allow an extra half hour for their journey.

This car park was previously know as Shuttle Plus.

No motor homes, lorries, trailers or caravans are permitted even if multiple spaces are booked.

Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommend check-in time.
