Arrival procedure

Please check your booking confirmation for details.

We operate an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system so it is essential you have entered the correct vehicle registration when making your booking.

We recommend that you bring a copy of your confirmation with you.

On arrival, please drive up to the entry barrier and wait for the machine to read your number plate. This can take up to a minute.

If nothing happens, please press the button marked "assistance" to speak to a member of staff through the intercom.

Please don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you will be charged again for your parking. Also, don't press the ticket button, as this will stop you being able to gain entry.

Then just walk to the terminal. It takes between 3 and 5 minutes.

Return procedure

Please check your booking confirmation for details.

On your return, please walk back to your car and drive to the exit barrier. The barrier will lift to let you out (this can take up to a minute) but if it doesn't, please press the button marked "assistance" and a member of staff will let you out.

Please don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you will be charged again for your parking.

Security

The car park has CCTV and regular security patrols. It has also been awarded the Park Mark for safer parking.

Insurance

The Airport is insured for damage caused by their own negligence but will not normally accept responsibility for the acts of a third party. Full details are available from the airport on request.

Additional information

No motor homes, lorries, trailers or caravans are permitted even if multiple spaces are booked.

This car park is a self-park facility where you park your own vehicle and retain your keys.

We couldn't get in to the car park on arrival! The barrier wouldn't lift so we had to ring for assistance. A bit annoying as we held others up waiting to enter too.

1) The distance from the car park was described as "a short walk". This was misleading as it would prove a difficult walk for an elderly or disabled person carrying luggage. 2) Whilst the park was well signed from the car, it proved difficult to locate on foot: ie from the arrivals building back to the car park. 3) Given the lack of signage, the only way I could see of returning back to the car was via the main road within the airport. This proved quite hazardous as it was rough in places and there were no causeways on which to walk. 4) The only way I could find of gaining access back into the car park on foot was through the barriers used for access by the cars. This could be dangerous as well as difficult to negotiate, walking over raised kerbs between the entrance and exit lanes of the car park.

The vehicle recognition was not working both on arrival and departure. Left waiting to enter too long. Too long to fix problem. We were away 2.5 weeks.

Hi I didn,t get to stay in EMA Long Stay 2 car park, even booking a few months in advance.Upon arrival the car park was FULL!Using the assist facility I was directed to Car Park 1 and to sort the issue out when returning. This I found a wonderful experience of trying to explain the circumstances I found myself in.With reference to the booking invoice etc.etc. I was allowed to proceed without extra charges. Many Thanks for this.
