APH Cardiff Park and Ride (previously Highwayman Security Park)
“ I have used this service many many times, and cannot recommend them enough. The service you receive is second to none.” - Eirian Davies
APH Cardiff Park & Ride, formerly Highwayman Security Park, is Cardiff Airport’s closest off-airport parking option. Drive to reception, leave your keys and let the team park your car while you take the included shuttle to the terminal.
Transfers take around 5–7 minutes and run approximately every 15 minutes throughout the day and night. It is a sensible choice when it offers a worthwhile saving over the airport’s walkable official car parks.
Why choose APH Cardiff Park & Ride?
- Short transfer: around 5–7 minutes to the terminal.
- Frequent shuttles: buses run approximately every 15 minutes.
- Staff park your car: leave it at reception rather than searching for a bay.
- Transfers included: no separate shuttle charge.
- Secure compound: CCTV, fencing, floodlighting and 24-hour staff patrols.
- Strong customer reviews: particularly for the staff and transfer service.
How does APH compare with Cardiff Airport Car Park 2?
Car Park 2 is an official airport car park within roughly a 5–10-minute walk of the terminal. You park yourself and keep your keys. APH requires a similar amount of travelling time, but you leave your keys and take a shuttle.
Choose APH when it is noticeably cheaper or you prefer a bus to walking with luggage. Choose Car Park 2 when keeping your keys and walking straight back to your car matter more.
How does APH compare with Car Park 1?
Car Park 1 is an official self-parking option around a 2–3-minute walk from the terminal. It is considerably closer, but will often cost more.
Choose Car Park 1 for convenience. Choose APH when the saving justifies adding the shuttle and key handover.

Waited 40 mins. Driver was rude.

Excellent service in terms of competitively priced and punctual pick up and drop off . My only negative was the speed of the driver dropping off on our out bound journey. We had 2 children and a toddler sat on my lap as no child’s car seat was provided. The speed he was driving through the lanes for me was excessive although probably not illegal. The return pick up was for better a different driver and he was more considerate of the roads and conditions.
