Directions

Take the M3 southbound towards Southampton. Where the M3 joins the M27, take the M27 westbound towards Bournemouth, which will become the A31. Take the exit signposted Bournemouth airport/A338. At the roundabout, take the first left onto the A338. About five miles along the A338, you will see the B3073 exit for Bournemouth airport signposted on your left. Continue down the road until you reach the Departures building on your left. Follow the signs to Car Park 2 - it’s opposite the main terminal building and use any lane to enter the car park.

Arrival procedure

On arrival, please follow the signs to Car Park 2 (it’s opposite the main terminal building) and use any lane to enter the car park. Approach the barrier slowly to allow the automatic number plate recognition system to recognise your car. The entry barrier will then rise so you can drive in and park in a space.

If your number plate is not recognised and the barrier fails to lift, please use the “Press For Assistance” button, but do not press for a ticket/coin as you will be charged again for your parking.

Make sure you don't park in the Premium Parking spaces near the entrance, as this will result in the car park issuing you with a parking fine.

Return procedure

On your return, please take the short walk back to the car park to find your car. Head towards the exit barrier by using the two exit lanes located in the car park, next to rows I and J. The Automatic Numberplate Recognition system will read your vehicles number plate and the barrier will lift automatically, but please allow up to 40 seconds for this to happen.

If the barrier doesn't rise, please press the assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you and raise the barrier. If prompted for over-stay payment please use the integrated Chip & Pin device.

Security

This car park has been awarded the Park Mark award. It is surrounded by a fence and partially covered by CCTV.

Disabled facilities

There are dedicated spaces for Blue Badge holders which work on a first come first served basis. You'll need to leave a copy of your Blue Badge visible in the car while you're away.

Additional information

If you need any extra days' parking, the car park will charge you £15 per day (subject to change). You'll need to pay this at the information desk before you go.

When we arrived the auto number plate registration did not work but the machine issued a ticket. On departure at the end of our holiday we were asked to pay over £200! A long dialogue then took place via the exit barrier phone which eventually resulted in the barrier letting is through. This meant we missed our ferry connection home adding several hours to our return. There are clearly big problems with your system.

On entering the car park the system did not recognise my registration number so had to press the help button no response. pressed the help button again no one spoke but the barrier lifted. On return again approached barrier to exit with no response. Pressed the help button no response. Pressed again and this time Elaine answered explained I had prepaid she asked for my registration number she responded no record of that number. She then asked for my booking reference which was given again she said no record of that reference. She then asked me to wait while she sent a member of staff to me. I waited a while and then asked how long the member of staff would be before coming - no response. Member of staff arrived looked at my registration number. Then asked to see my booking reference which I showed him and he photographed it. Elaine who was still connected spoke to the other member of staff but not to me. She at no point offered any apology but gave the impression that this was my fault not yours. Given that I was in two minds about using the carpark because of the cost (expensive) I found the level of service so low Don’t think I’ll be rushing to use the service again.

Did not recognise my number plate going in or when trying to leave. Was forced to ring while at the barrier in order to be let out while traffic building up behind me. When you pay an extortionately expensive £107 to park, you expect better than this. This was the only bad part about flying from Bournemouth Airport as everything else was good. I’ll think about getting a lift there next time.
