Overview

Bournemouth Airport Car Park 2 is an official on-site car park within easy walking distance of the terminal, making it one of the best value options for Bournemouth Airport parking.

Bournemouth Airport has 4 official on-site car parks with Car Parks 2 and 3 the cheapest options. At just 3-10 minutes walk to check-in, Car Park 2 is slightly closer than Car Park 3 (5-7 mins); Car Park 2 is nearer departures and Car Park 3 closer to arrivals. Prices reflect that miniscule convenience difference: in other words, there is generally only just a few pounds between them for a week's stay. Don't expect it to break the bank or give you blisters if you end up without your first choice.

If you want to shave another minute or so off your walk - with shave being the operative word as you are already not going to need your walking boots with Car Park 2 - then there is Car Park 1 and Car Park 1 Premium, which are 2 - 3 and 1 - 2 minutes from the terminal. But expect to pay more for that extra minute - hint: it is called 'premium' - and perhaps leave yourself thinking about those extra drinks that could have been bought.

Like all of the official car parks, Car Park 2 is monitored by CCTV and totally secure.

Directions

Take the M3 southbound towards Southampton. Where the M3 joins the M27, take the M27 westbound towards Bournemouth, which will become the A31. Take the exit signposted Bournemouth airport/A338. At the roundabout, take the first left onto the A338. About five miles along the A338, you will see the B3073 exit for Bournemouth airport signposted on your left. Continue down the road until you reach the Departures building on your left. Follow the signs to Car Park 2 - it’s opposite the main terminal building and use any lane to enter the car park.

Arrival procedure

On arrival, please follow the signs to Car Park 2 (it’s opposite the main terminal building) and use any lane to enter the car park. Approach the barrier slowly to allow the automatic number plate recognition system to recognise your car. The entry barrier will then rise so you can drive in and park in a space.

If your number plate is not recognised and the barrier fails to lift, please use the “Press For Assistance” button, but do not press for a ticket/coin as you will be charged again for your parking.

Make sure you don't park in the Premium Parking spaces near the entrance, as this will result in the car park issuing you with a parking fine.

Return procedure

On your return, please take the short walk back to the car park to find your car. Head towards the exit barrier by using the two exit lanes located in the car park, next to rows I and J. The Automatic Numberplate Recognition system will read your vehicles number plate and the barrier will lift automatically, but please allow up to 40 seconds for this to happen.

If the barrier doesn't rise, please press the assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you and raise the barrier. If prompted for over-stay payment please use the integrated Chip & Pin device.

Security

This car park has been awarded the Park Mark award. It is surrounded by a fence and partially covered by CCTV.

Disabled facilities

There are dedicated spaces for Blue Badge holders which work on a first come first served basis. You'll need to leave a copy of your Blue Badge visible in the car while you're away.

Additional information

If you need any extra days' parking, the car park will charge you £15 per day (subject to change). You'll need to pay this at the information desk before you go.

Trailers are not allowed in this car park.

If you lose your car park token, the car park will charge you £5 to exit.
