Edinburgh Flying Scot

Book now from £35.82 for 7 days parking.

This off-site car park which prides itself on its green credentials is a two to three minute transfer from the airport and shuttle buses operate, when requested, 24 hours a day. Your car will be parked by a member of the team so it is necessary to leave your keys with Reception. The car park is fully secure with regular guard and dog patrols, CCTV and floodlighting. Make sure you do not confuse this car park with the similarly named Scot Park as this is a completely different operation.

Directions

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park so please use the directions provided below. The providers cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed.

Leave the M9 at junction 1, taking the exit for the A8 Glasgow Road at the roundabout. After a mile and a half, take the left onto Ingliston Road just before the main airport turn off, and then take the first right onto Fairview Road. The car park will be on your left.

Please make sure you do not enter 'SCOT PARK' as this is the NCP car park and is not the car park you are booked into. You must go to Flying Scot parking.

Arrival procedure

On arrival, please park in one of the bays outside the reception and head inside to check in. You will have to show your confirmation and hand in your keys. The car park's staff will give you a receipt and park your car for you. There's a free transfer bus to the terminal.

Departure procedure

On your return, please call the car park so they can send the shuttle bus to pick you up. You can call them on 0131 335 3868 or use the courtesy phones in the arrivals hall by the front doors. You can then make your way to stand 7 for the bus.

Please show the receipt you were given at the car park to the bus driver when the bus arrives and they will take you back to the reception where your car will be waiting. Then check out at reception and you'll be given back your keys along with a PIN to open the exit barrier.

Security

Your vehicle will be stored in a secured compound surrounded by an electric fence with floodlighting and CCTV. You also need to enter a security code to exit the car park.

Disabled facilities

The car park staff can assist disabled passengers. To arrange this, please call the provider and one of their team will contact the car park.

Additional information

Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommended check-in time. You will be required to leave your keys with the attendant.

The car park can't take vans or large commercial vehicles in the car park, or vehicles taller than 1.81 metres (6ft) or wider than 2 metres.

If you are looking to park a trailer, please call the provider to confirm whether it can be accommodated.

Full on-site valet services available at extra cost.

You will need to take a copy of your confirmation with you to the car park.

The Flying Scot driver will inspect your car and make note of any damage, but if you're not there when it’s inspected, you can’t claim for any problems. If you're worried, you can be there when they do and make sure the notes are right, but you’ll need to let Flying Scot know before you arrive and it will take half an hour and cost £5.

The Royal Highland show is running in the local area. Make sure you allow plenty of extra time to get to the airport, to allow for possible delays.

Flying Scot are 'Carbon me org' and 'Proud to be Green.'

I won't be booking with Flying Scot again as this is second time had to wait for bus back for car but this time it was 40 mins before it came. I phoned they said we had just missed bus but even then it still should have been quicker then 40 mins as they advertise every 5 mins. When I complained at office wasn't getting anywhere although I wasn't the only one that wasn't happy; others said they wouldn't book with them again. It would have been worse if it was the other way round and we could have missed flight.

Horrendous!! Some of the worst driving I have ever witnessed. It started with a high speed reverse out of parking bay seven before my partner could even get our 7 and 5-year olds seat belts on, followed by a high speed dash through various lanes and speed bumps. When we asked the driver (large tattoos on the back of his head) to slow down a bit, we were completely ignored and the driving style was unchanged. Absolutely disgusting driving / service.

When I arrived the car park was full, so I parked where I could and went to reception, man driving the shuttle came in and was very rude to me, telling me to move it and that I had just abandoned it. On return I had to wait about 40 minutes in the freezing cold with my daughter for the shuttle. When taken to car park, in reception, small bald man looked very stressed, shoved me the car key and told me my car was round the corner of reception, which it was although parked behind another, blocking me in. I put the ignition on to heat the car whilst waiting on someone to come and move the one behind me, they had left mine in gear, with no handbrake on and it jerked, thank God it just missed the car behind me. I would never use this car park again, staff are rude and I wouldn't trust them with my pride and joy ever again.
