"Buses should be for either pick up or drop off, not both as it happened with us: full bus coming from the airport picking up people going to the airport on the rounds in the car park!
More Buses would help with this."
"Booking was very straightforward. The approach to the car park is convoluted but well signposted. Areas with vacant spaces in the car park were signposted but it was still a bit of a hunt. Bus transfers were regular. Validating the ticket on return was quick and painless."June 26, 2007
"no problems at all easy to find and frequent bus service"June 26, 2007
"Very well signposted and easy access. Plenty of buses so waiting time was kept to a minimum"June 26, 2007
"I have not parked at Luton before but have used numerous other parking at other airports. After landing at midnight, knackered, I found my way to validate my ticket and on seeing my debit card in my hand the young man at the desk said I should pay at the machine. The machine didn't accept my parking ticket so I went back to the desk and was told I needed my reference number. This was in my suitcase which was left with my husband back at the bus stop. I raced back to the stop and rummaged in my case and returned to the desk. I was less than pleased as most of the other carparks I have used have been able to recognise my credit card. It would have been much easier if you could just insert the card at the car park and pay then."June 25, 2007
"Signage was good but we did wonder where we would end up! Pick-up bus waited for us (v helpful driver).
On our late return a bus was waiting outside the terminal. I queried where the bus was going and was told "to a pink car park". The driver was rather surly and unhelpful and we felt he was looking forward to the end of his shift.
When the bus eventually moved off it was very full but the journey time was within its advertised limit."
"Departure - Car park buses were late in arrival and VERY
Arrival - No problems at all - even a friendly driver!"
"Parking was fine, and the buses were prompt and easy to find. Only problem came with the bus driver on the way back - it was very dark and very wet which made it very difficult to see which bus stop you were at, could either do with better lighting or the bus driver letting you know where you were.
Also took a while to get out of the car park as were cars in each lane who had not validated their tickets"
"Quite far from the airport.
Rude drivers didn't let us on bus, claiming bus was full (it wasn't).
Buses don't run that often.
Signs to the free parking spaces were wrong - they sent us up alleys where there were no spaces."
"I prepaid for my carparking and expected this to make life easier. From my experience with stansted where you simply put the credit card you have paid with in the machine and are let in and out I am used to this being a stress free approach. I do not like to have tickets issued to me (which I have to keep safe - which I'm not good at), that I then have to queue up at a desk to get cleared on my return. When I come back from a trip I want to have to think of as little as possible, and my aim is to get out of the airport as quickly as possibly.
The car park seemed extremely full on the day I arrived but this was only because the parking was so chaotic with many people parking in actual road ways which made it very difficult to get around the site to the areas where space was available. It also made it very difficult to get to the bus stops as all the aisles were blocked. This to me was extremely annoying bearing in mind as with most people going on holiday I had heavy bags and young kids in tow."
"Easy to book online. Good directions.
Online payment instructions conflict. One set of instructions states that the ticket received at the entrance must be verified at the arrivals terminal (the correct procedure). Another set of instructions states that the same credit card that was used to book the car park must be used at the car park park exit.
Bus transit service on return kept passengers waiting for several minutes at the airport even though the coach was quite full. 10 minutes at least. I trust you consider this to be constructive critisism. I would use the facility again and recommend to others"
"Parking the car, very easy, and the bus to the terminal. Getting the ticket validated on our return very smooth procedure. Only way to improve, slightly more frequent pick-up back to car park. We must have just missed one, (glad it wasn't raining!)by the time next arived, long queue and bus well loaded."June 24, 2007
"Easy to locate the car park; bus service to airport frequent; sufficient availability of parking spaces; easy to validate ticket upon return; no issues."June 24, 2007
"After pre paying for 1 week of parking we arrived with plenty of time to park and get to the airport to check in . Or so we thought , once we entered the car park it became clear it was full from the 20 or so cars driving round looking for a space and no staff whatsoever to help.
After 45 minutes of driving round and round the car park we took the decision to park at the end of an aisle in the actual road so as not to miss our holiday.
we then waited a further 20-25 minutes for a bus (advertised as a 10 min wait i think) which when it arrived was busier than a London tube at rush hour .
We were the last 3 people to check on our flight and told we almost missed it .
Our first holiday with our baby started off very stressfully due to the car parking.
This is the worst long term parking I have used and I have used quite a few."
"Car park was well signposted and easy to find.
Transfer buses to airport were frequent, clean and the driver was helpful, polite and friendly.
There were numerous bus stops at the car park which was helpful."
"Excellent service. Good instructions. well sign-posted. Speedy pickups on both journeys. Reasonable cost at long-term parking."June 23, 2007
"Quite some distance away from the terminal but otherwise perfectly adequate"June 23, 2007
"I had to make a 24-hour booking, which also needed to be slightly altered the day before. This was done very efficiently and courteously by email.
On the downside, I couldn't get oyut of the car park! My ticket was not accepeted, saying I had £25 to pay (for a pre-booked ticket!) After a long conversation with the attendant (via the intercom) he said he would open the barruier. This took several more minutes, only being resolved when another attendant said that first I must press the white button to retrieve my ticket. Finally it opened. All very embarrassing considering there was an impatient bus just behind me. What went wrong, I wonder?"
"Waited nearly 30 minutes for the bus, having just missed one.
On return journey bus sailed past several stops without asking if anyone wanted to get off or announcing that the bell must be rung.
No queue at NCP/BCP desk, and efficient service on return"
"The surface in the car park leaves a lot to be desired, also the directions for spaces was totally wrong we were driving around for at least 10 minutes to find a space"June 22, 2007
"The bus service to the car park was good, but had to queue for 10 mins when leaving arrivals on return.
Could be announcements from driver to identify stops in car park.
"Easy to find, just follow the Pink car park signs. Transfer from carpark to Terminal was quick, though we had to wait qute a long time as the bus was full when it got to us. On returning to Airport the process to validate ticket for exit was quick and efficient."June 21, 2007
"initial signposting could be better--parked reasonably easily--road surface not too good for pulling trolley cases on.Buses frequent and quick but had to get my husband to lift my case onto luggage rck--too high for me.Would use again--far superior to off site option we have used with friends."June 20, 2007
"I found it very easy to use with plenty of buses. Just slightly confusing due to the current road works."June 20, 2007
"We have used this car park numerous times in the past because of the simplicity in parking and the easy transfer to the terminal. We have now discovered the savings that can be made by prebooking to it is now easy and cheap. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for transfer which is no longer than other airports we have used and the buses are good and frequent."June 20, 2007
"This time I needed to wait quite long until the bus came. Beside that, this car park is fine."June 20, 2007
"What an absolute breeze from start to finish. No hassle to park or collect. Highly recommend. I have a mobility problem but even without extra help it was simple and easy. Thank you for a great service."June 18, 2007
"booked with ease, easy to follow directions & instructions for using the car park. Very convenient so less stressful than using an off site car park."June 18, 2007
"Road works on the approach came as a surprise. Courtesy buses arrived in reasonable time. All went smoothly. A much better experience than off site parking, but there can be a significant price difference. I would use the car park again provided I could obtain a reasonable price."June 18, 2007
"My family did have a rather unhappy experience in boarding one of the transfer buses last Saturday night. We exited the terminal and joined the queue for the bus.I had my 75 yeard old Mother and 82 yeard old Great Aunt with me, both are fairly mobile so no assitance is required. There was a long queue but there was just enough space for us to board, but the driver said another bus has pulled up behind so it would be easier for them to board that empty bus. I ushered them to the empty bus but the driver then refused us entrance and then moved to the space the original bus had occupied. By now there had grown a long queue again but we were at the back again. It was only by pushing to the front we mangaed to get them on this bus. It would have helped if this driver would have encouraged people to move to the back of the bus which was empty, rather then allowing them to remain standing next to the cases in the racks. It was quite obvious that this driver had been used to driving cattle around rather than human beings by his attitude."June 18, 2007
