"Easy to find but did not see much evidence of security. Having used BCP at Gatwick for many years i was expecting a similar service but I have to say the bus service from the airport back to the carpark was appalling with only two buses running early afternoon at the height of the summer holiday season. Fortunately it wasn't raining during the 35 minute wait and the car was OK when we eventually got back to it"

"Booking system simple and effective, staff in Terminal very helpful. Signage in the car park and the road surface/lining could be improved. Courtesy bus had very limited space for luggage resulting in blocked access."

"all ok exceopt the chaotic return to the car park - not enough buses running, all full to bursting, people trying to get on at the pick up points whilst others trying to get off - a joke. you should have separate buses."

"The hardcore stones were a bit large - was worried about my tyres. The directions to the payment booth were a little misleading - the arrows pointed out of the terminal. I waited quite a long time for the bus back to the car park. But in general the car park facility was good."

"I would rate the long term parking with BCP as excellent. From the ease of the booking form to the ticket validation at arrivals. I think it should be printed in bigger letters as I did see people in the parking area that had failed to read their booking receipt properly."

"The long term NCP car park at Luton airport is very poor. I pre booked and as instructed looked for the NCP desk when I came through customs into the arrivals hall. No sign of it, plenty of car hire desks, costa coffee, Wh Smith but no NCP. I then spotted lots of yellow stickers everywhere saying to pay for car park go outside and use the machine. The machine swallowed my ticket and asked for £90. I pressed the help button and the attendant told me to go to the NCP desk arrivals hall I told him I couldn't see it and he swore at me and hung up. I went back and it is right behind the right hand entrance door to the arrivals hall. Can't be seen from the arrivals hall or the departure entrance. I pointed this out and all I got was a glare and lots or eye rolling. Customer service is nil. Finally got on the bus. At the long term parking lot the exit signs are poor and cars were parked in the cross lanes so if you follow the exit signs you can't get through and have to turn round and try another lane. I wondered if this really was safe for emergency access. All round poor experience."

"The really irritating thing about the long and medium term car parking at Luton is having to queue to get the ticket endorsed before queuing again for the bus, when all you want to do is climb in your car and drive home. Surely there must be a way of punching the unique reference number into the exit gate at the car park. Apart from this, it all worked like clockwork."

"On our return, we had to wait in a very long queue for the bus, and it took more than 30 minutes to arrive. There was only room for about half the people who were waiting. Our stop was near the end of the parking lot circuit and the bus collected new passengers for departure at the same time as dropping off the arrivals passengers. This made the bus so crowded with people going to the airport that it was difficult to get off at our stop. If they are going to drop of and collect passengers at the same time, they should have more than one door on the bus. In the end, it took nearly an hour to get from the arrivals lounge to our car which was parked very near the airport. Terrible value for money, and not what we needed at the end of our holiday."

"Booking the long term car park at Luton Airport made our travel to Italy a lot easier, far less stressful and so expedient. The closeness of the parking to the terminal, good signage, simple easy-to-follow instructions and very helpful staff on the return to Luton made the experience a very pleasant one.We will most certainly be using Luton Airport and your Long Term Car Park facilities for our future trips abroad.... without any doubt. "I was very disappointed with this - on both days (arriving and returning) we had to wait ages for a bus. It was 25 minutes on the day we arrived and 40 minutes yesterday. I don't think this is acceptable. I have always used the mid term car park in the past and that has never been a problem. I will be very wary about using the long term one again."

"Had to hunt for a long time to find a space. Also had to wait a LONG time for the bus in both directions. Directions for the desk in the Arrivals Hall where the ticket had to be validated were rather vague, and it was quite hard to find."

"I thought the overall service was very good. I was very suprised by how full the car park was and it took a while to find a vacant slot - perhaps slots should be allocated so one knows exactly where to go and find a space. Time waiting for the bus on the way out and way back was acceptable."

"I was very statisfied with the LTP at Luton. There were parking spaces and the bus came along within a couple of minutes of getting to the bus stop. The trip is only fives minutes and drops you off outside the terminal. The return there was a bus at the bus stop just outside the terminal to take my family back to the LTP. I would use the LTP again but not sure how this compares to the MTP. Sign Posts were only available when you turned towards the Airport through the road works. A sign post on the main road from the M1 would be benificial."

"Having used the long term car park from Tuesday 14th to Thursday 16th August, I found the car park and shuttle service excellent. My only comment would be that being a relatively small car park, the spaces are tight and therefore anyone who does not park well can cause real problems for other parkers. But all in all a good service."

What an opportune time for you to email me to ask my views on the experience at Luton Long Term Parking

Good news first: Getting to the Long Term Parking was easy and we were able to find a space with relative ease. We didn't have to wait long for a courtesy bus and our departure went well.

On our Return (you know how it is with a wife and 3 teenage girls in tow) rather stressed etc, I went to the Parking Pay machine, failed to see the notice about pre-booked tickets and duly put my credit card in. I was a bit surprised to see it come up with 105 pounds as my pre-booking stuff had said 65 pounds but as I said, stressed and all that, I pressed the button and it nicked 105 quid from my debit card.

So, is there any way I can get a refund of the difference between my pre-booking quote fo 65 pounds and what I actually paid ???

p.s. I did get a receipt from themachine, Receipt No. 098657 POF2 1425hrs 13/08/07

Also, I had said to my partner and the 3 x girls to wait for me at the terminal and I would retrieve the car. I am glad that I did because when the courtesy bus finally arrived (this was around 3 in the afternoon Monday 13/8) it was far too small to take all the people (and their luggage) who were waiting for it, luckily I had no luggage so was able to board ok

So that was my expereince and YES I would use it again

I would rate it 4+ going out and 2 on return

"It was a very pleasant experience and one that most folk should enter into. Of course, it is not anyones fault that the beastly road works are in the way, but as far as your part of the deal was concerned, we could not have had a more simple efficient situation, and no doubt as before we will choose to do the same should we be flying from Luton in the future."

"I'd like to make 2 important points with the aim of improving your service.

1. Since I pre-booked and pre-paid I was confused by the method of exit from the car park. It was unclear that I had to call for assistance when I reached the barrier and give my booking reference no. to exit the car park. This should be made much clearer prior to the barrier and detailed on the ticket received at entry. It was even more confusing when a £195 appeared on the screen when I inserted the ticket given upon arrival. Please make this clear.

2. It's clear that the bus drivers run the car park to terminal route repeatedly and it's boring. I found the driver who picked us up not only jerked the bus when leaving but drove too fast considering there were many on board with children and there are many turns en route. I drive fast and know when it's just too uncomfortable as was the journey to the terminal. The return trip to the car park was excellent. A bad day for the driver perhaps but patience is a virtue."

"i thought that this service was of fair value. essentially the parking space was a glorified car park for thousands of cars. Howver the shutle service was frequent in both directions and had plenty of room for suitcases. naively i thought that the car park was within waling distance to the terminal. however, some other serivices set further out of Luton offer similar deals foe slightly less money. i have nothing to complain about though as I was pleased with my booking"
