Customer Reviews and Ratings

We encourage our customers to review the car parks they compared and booked through Airport Parking Shop, and we value the feedback.

As of January 2009 Blackpool Airport offered free car parking for all departing passengers. Short and long stay car parks have been replaced with a Pay to Park car park for all drop off and pick up visitors. Free parking was available in either Passenger Car Park P1 or Passenger Car Park P2 for up to 15 days; after that, the parking was charged £10 per day or part thereof. Departing passengers aged 16 years and over were required to purchase a £10 Airport Development Fee ticket before accessing the airside facilities.

On Oct 15th 2014 at 5p.m. the final commercial flight took off for the Isle of Man and the airport closed officially an hour later. Read more on our blog.

Blackpool Airport

Flying began at Blackpool airport back in 1909 and the airport was home to the first major air show in the UK welcoming over 200,000 spectators.

Blackpool airport continued to see large crowds through its doors as it has developed into a bustling commuter travel link as well as a holiday gateway. In 2006 there was a major passenger terminal refurbishment and the airport aimed to handle two million passengers a year.

Blackpool City Guide

Blackpool has long been famous as a popular British tourist destination. The Victorian Blackpool tower, the 5 mile long illuminations and the Pleasure Beach funfair draw many visitors to this west coast resort. If you are not admiring the lights or riding on the Pleasure Beach roller coasters you can try your luck in the Golden Mile slot machines or visit the Sea Life centre along the promenade.

Away from the beach the city offers a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants and Blackpool comes alive at night with pubs, bars, clubs and shows.
