DROPPING OFF on departure day
As you exit the M11 at Junc 8a (towards Stansted) please call your personal Chauffeur on 07092 88 30 40 to notify of your impending arrival. Simply follow signs to the terminal and SHORT STAY parking. Head into the short stay parking area and enter the RED CAR PARK, which is the first area that you will see – entry is on your left – take a ticket at the barrier and follow the access lane around the car park towards the covered walkway in front of the main terminal building. Your uniformed Chauffeur will be waiting with a trolley and a smile at Row M.
Every Chauffeur carries personal identification and copies of insurance documents etc. Should you wish to inspect them – just ask! The Chauffeur will help to unload your luggage, inspect your vehicle’s condition and double check your return flight details. He will ask you to sign his paperwork, give you a copy for your records and wish you Bon Voyage!
Departure procedure
COLLECTING on your return to Stansted
Once you’re safely inside the terminal building, you should receive a ‘Welcome Home’ text message from us as soon as you switch your phone on. This indicates that we have tracked your return flight and are waiting close by with your car. After collecting your luggage and clearing Customs, please call the Chauffeur on 07092 88 30 40.
After Customs, turn right and head back towards the RED CAR PARK where you previously dropped your car off to us. It’s about a 7 minute walk through the terminal (with luggage and/or kids!) and down the ramp. By the time you get there, your car and Chauffeur will be waiting.
He will swiftly walk you around the car to confirm its condition and ask you to sign for its safe return. If he didn’t meet you on your outward leg, he may ask to see your ID, to make sure that we’re returning the right car to the right customer.
CHANGING your plans
We know that plans can change – and we’re ready to react to make your journey as smooth as possible. Please call us on 0870 8034 720 or email Bookings@LetUsPark.com with any changes to your booking details – changes made more than 24 hrs in advance are free – within that time we reserve the right to make a small charge. Cancellations made more than 24hrs ahead of your confirmed drop-off time will incur a fee equal to our minimum charge (currently £50) – any balance will be automatically refunded to your card.
If you need to cancel within the 24 hr notice period no refund can be made; we can provide an invoice which should be used to claim against your travel insurance – assuming that you have some and it covers the relevant circumstances leading to your need to cancel.
KEEPING us informed
If you are running late (or even early) on your way to the airport please call the Chauffeur and let him know; he’ll try to be flexible; however should you arrive more than 15 minutes early or late without letting us know, we can’t guarantee to book you in immediately. Any short term parking costs will be your responsibility in such cases.#
On the return leg, we will monitor your flight and act accordingly – we merely ask that once you call us as you exit the Customs area – you should head directly back to your car since we can only wait in the RED CAR PARK for 15 minutes from that point. Again, if the Chauffeur has to wait more than 15 minutes from the time that you call us, you will be responsible for any short stay parking charges incurred (£2.80)
