Watson’s Ayr Park will be closed during the winter months on the 31st October 2011 and will reopen on the 1st April 2012. During that time customers will be upgraded to Car Park 3 at Prestwick Airport Terminal at no extra cost. Please find the directions to Car Park 3 below.

Long Stay Car Park 3 Directions:
From Glasgow & The North: On the M77 follow the signs for Prestwick Airport. On reaching the Dutchouse Roundabout take the 3rd exit and continue to the Monktonhead Roundabout. Go straight through (2nd exit) you are now on the A79 continue and go straight through next roundabout. At the Airport roundabout take the 3rd exit. You have now arrived at Car Park 3

From Ayr & The South: On the A77 follow the signs for Prestwick Airport. On reaching the Dutchouse Roundabout take the 2nd exit and continue to the Monktonhead Roundabout. Go straight through (2nd exit) you are now on the A79 continue and go straight through next roundabout. At the Airport roundabout take the 3rd exit. You have now arrived at Car Park 3.

From West Coast: On the A78 follow the signs for Prestwick Airport. On reaching the Monktonhead Roundabout take (4th exit this includes the small farm road) you are now on the A79 continue and go straight through next roundabout. At the Airport roundabout take the 3rd exit. You have now arrived at Car Park 3.

Watsons Ayr Park Directions:
Airport Watsons Ayr Park (formerly Car Park 7) is located on the north side of the airfield. The car park operator is in the process of upgrading all roadside signage. As a result this car park may be signposted in Yellow as either "Watsons Ayr Park" or "Car Park 7".

From Glasgow/A77/A78: At Dutch House roundabout take exit onto Kilmarnock Road (signposted Monkton Services). Continue past the BP Service Station at roundabout and then into the village of Monkton. Follow Yellow signs to Car Park 7 / Airport North Car Parks.

Transfers from airport

Transfers run every 20 mins during peak time, between 00:00-05:00 on request.

Arrival procedure

At the entry barrier at Watsons Ayr Park, make sure you have your booking details. A member of staff will speak to you through the intercom to confirm your booking details. The member of staff will then give you directions to the correct lane to park. The shuttle bus will then pick you up along that lane.

If you are due to stay between 31st October 2011 - 31st March 2012, please use the following arrival procedure for the Long Stay Car Park 3.

Head towards the barrier, pull a ticket and park your vehicle. Please keep your ticket safe as you will require it on your return. Head towards railway station and cross over bridge to the terminal.

Departure procedure

On your return back to Watsons Ayr Park, you will be picked up at the same point you were dropped off at. On the exit the barrier will be raised by a member of staff.

If you are due to stay between 31st october 2011 - 31st March 2012, please use the following return procedure for the Long Stay Car Park 3.

Head to the “Welcome Desk” past the Check-in area at the front of terminal to the end of the building. Hand over your ticket with your booking reference and the member of staff on duty will validate it for you to exit, proceed to car park. On exit put your ticket into the machine (arrow facing top & forward) and the barrier will lift.

Security

24 hrs secured by staff and CCTV operation. Compound is fully secured by barriers and fencing this car park has been awarded the 'Park Mark' safer parking award.

Insurance

Parking is at vehicle owner's own risk and subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Airport Authority.

Disabled facilities

Disabled toilets, disabled access to buses where customers can remain seated. Blue badge holder bays situated close to front of park.

Please make sure to bring your confirmation with you.

Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommend check-in time.

Minimum 3 day stay/charge applies. To make your journey easier, why not drop off your passengers and luggage at the passenger waiting areas at the entrance to the car park. You may drop off disabled passengers at the terminal building before proceeding to your car park, however, our buses are equipped to accommodate disabled passengers.

If your actual stay is longer than your booked stay, you will be charged extras on departure at the car park's standard daily rate. Please note: No refund will be issued for part used stays and any additional time will be charged at the local gate rate.

Vehicles must fit one parking space. Trailers are not permitted.
