Transfers from airport

Transfers run 24 hours a day, every 7-10 minutes, taking approx. 4-5 minutes. During off-peak periods (22:00-05:30) use intercom points at bus stops to request pick-up.

From the A658:
At the roundabout near the airport, take the third exit if you are travelling north, and the first exit if you are travelling south, onto Whitehouse Lane. Follow the signs to the passenger terminal. Take the first right after the Travelodge and follow signs for Long Stay car park 1.

Arrival procedure

You'll be parking in Long Stay car park 1. You should bring a copy of your booking confirmation to the car park.

At the entry barrier, put the debit or credit card you booked with into the slot. The barrier will lift. If it doesn't, or you haven't got your card, you should take a ticket instead. Keep this ticket, as you'll need it when you come back to the car park.
The last four digits of the card you booked with will be on your confirmation. Don't put a different card into the machine, as it might then try to charge you again when you leave.

We recommend that you give yourself 20 minutes to park and transfer to the airport.

For bookings with Essential Travel:
On arrival at the Long Stay Car Park, take a ticket at the barrier and park your car. Park your own car and keep your keys.

Return procedure

If you took a ticket from the barrier upon arrival or you do not have the card used to make your online booking, take the entry ticket and your booking confirmation to the information desk, situated in arrivals/check-in hall A in the terminal building, where you will be presented with an exit ticket.

If you have the correct card please make your way to your vehicle and drive to the exit barrier. Insert the same debit/credit card and the barrier will rise.

For bookings with Essential Travel:
On return to Leeds Bradford International Airport take the barrier ticket and confirmation to the Information Desk where you will be presented with an exit ticket.

Disabled facilities

Leeds Bradford airport now have a brand new area dedicated to Long Stay 1 blue badge holders. Disabled parking is in car park 7, which is a separate section in the Long Stay 1 car park. Instructions to follow for disabled customers: At the junction after the entry point into the car park, turn left and left again, the blue badge area is situated in the left hand corner of this car park. Information: If you wish to travel with your Blue Badge, then please take a copy of your badge and display in your windscreen. The disabled parking area is checked regularly and your car may be clamped if there is no sign of disabled parking entitlement. Additional information

On your return please ensure that you follow the below procedure before returning to your vehicle.

Failure to do this before returning to your vehicle will result in you being charged again on exit.

Please be aware that your reservation is valid in either Long Stay 1 or Long Stay 2 car parks at Leeds Bradford International airport. Please follow directional signage to ‘Long Stay Parking’ and park in either Long Stay 1 or Long Stay 2. At certain times of the year, only one of the Long Stay car parks may be available and this will be clearly indicated on the entrance to the Long Stay car parks. Please note that your reservation will not be valid in either Short Stay or Business car parks.

Maximum height: 2.5 metres.

Skis, bikes, surfboards, canoes and other large objects that won't fit into the luggage racks can't be carried on transfer buses. If you are bringing large items with you, we suggest you drop them off at the airport before you park your car. Remember to check with your airline that you will be able to take them on the plane.
