Directions
From the North:
Leave the M1 at junction 24, taking the third exit for Ashby Road.
From the South:
Just take junction 23a.
At the roundabout and take the second exit onto the A453. Go straight over the first roundabout, then right at the next into the airport. Take a left at the next roundabout. On arrival at the airport, follow signs for Short Stay 1 car park.
Arrival procedure
We operate an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system so it is essential you have entered the correct vehicle registration when making your booking.
We recommend that you bring a copy of your confirmation with you.
On arrival, please drive up to the entry barrier and wait for the machine to read your number plate. This can take up to a minute.
If nothing happens, please press the button marked "assistance" so you can speak to a member of staff through the intercom.
Please don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you will be charged again for your parking, and don't press the ticket button, as this will stop you being able to gain entry.
From there, just walk to the terminal which should just take a minute or two.
Return procedure
Upon your return to the airport, please walk back to your car and drive to the exit barrier. The barrier will lift to let you out (this can take up to a minute) but if it doesn't, please press the button marked "assistance" and a member of staff will let you out.

Security
The short stay car park has CCTV, entry and exit barriers and holds the Park Mark secure parking award.
Insurance
The Airport is insured for damage caused by their own negligence but will not normally accept responsibility for the acts of a third party. Full details are available from the car park on request.
Disabled facilities
There are some spaces reserved for Blue Badge holders, subject to availability on the day of arrival.
Additional Information
No motor homes, lorries, trailers or caravans are permitted even if multiple spaces are booked. Maximum height for vehicles is three metres.
Can anyone believe there is not one sign directing you to the short stay car park 1? We drove from one end of the airport area to the other and even asked one of their own shuttle bus drivers who had no idea. On our flight we met several who found the same problem. The first sin we saw that actually said short stay 1 was at the barrier to enter the car park. It really is beyond belief.
