Distance to airport	The long term open-air parking area is located opposite the airport Terminal. A courtesy bus service to the long stay car park is in operation. However you can walk from your car to the ground floor Check-In area in just a few minutes.
Directions	Cardiff airport is located in Rhoose, just 12 miles west of Cardiff city centre. Leave the M4 at junction 33. Take the A4232 sign-posted for Barry/Airport. Turn off at the first exit onto the A4232 sign-posted for Barry/Cardiff Airport, A4050/A48 Cardiff Centre. At A48 junction roundabout take the third exit sign-posted for A4050 Barry/Airport. For the next six roundabouts follow the A4050 Barry/Airport. At the seventh roundabout take the second exit for Barry/Airport A4050. Take the second exit at the eighth roundabout. At the ninth roundabout take the second exit. At the tenth roundabout take the first exit signposted for Cardiff airport. Carry on into the airport, the on airport parking is clearly sign-posted. The postcode for satellite navigation systems is CF62 3BD.
Transfers from airport	A shuttle bus operates during the summer months, running every five minutes and taking around five minutes. During other periods, it is a short walk to the terminal from the car park.
Arrival procedure	Take a ticket on entry and park your car. Unload your luggage and take the shuttle bus to the airport.
Departure procedure	Proceed to the arrivals lounge where you will find the NCP customer service desk. Present your entry ticket and voucher to validate your booking and proceed to exit the car park.

The parking was situated close to the terminal and was within easy walking distance with a suitcase. Validating the ticket on the return journey was also easy and quick. The one thing I would say is that the sign posts for long term/short term aren't so good. I mistakenly took a wrong tun and ended up having to go into the short term car park (no way to reverse before going through barrier) and had to pay �1 for spending less than 30 secs as this would appear to be the only way out. Also the barriers were not manned so had no choice but to pay for the ticket in order to navigate around to the long term.
